Nope I still hate it, however I am VERY bord with fighting Bioware. I can't wait to the extended cut DLC comes out though, I may even learn to love the endings once the DLC comes out.

I agree. Being openminded about what they're planning seems to be the best move now... I'm so tired of being angry and disappointed.

Somebody sprinkle some happy fairy magic space dust on me or something. STAT!

:wizard:

Theres a beam of space magic on the end of that platform there. It might turn everyone into husks or something and kill you, but never mind that, jump right in!

I loved the ending for my Renegade Shep then, still love it now. Not sure if I'll love it with my paragon shep, taking the ending in context of the entirety of Mass Effect 3, but who knows. Hoping the 'clarification' doesn't wreck the experience for my Renegade Shep.

Yes, I changed from thinking it was bad to now knowing it was absolute garbage.

A little, but still bad enough that it warrants a change

No. Why would it? Everyone keeps saying it's bad, so I have no reason to doubt my own judgement.

... fixed my inexcusable grammar, and added clarification that I hope enhances the experience for anyone else that reads my post, so that it now gives proper closure.

I finished my second play-through a little while ago, and my opinion has changed a quite bit.

I really, really did not enjoy it on my first play-through. I hated it.

Now I don't think it is so bad. It still has it's problems, but it isn't as bad as I initially thought it was.

I like it. Kind of.

At best I would say it's good. At worst it is okay. It certainly could of been handled better.

You know, it's funny.  When I was thinking about it, that scene played out in my mind every now and then.  I was just like, "oh god, is this really happening?!  Am I being indoctrinated by EA/Bioware?!"

Just looked. Same sucky ending. Same feeling.
The only thing that's changed over time is that I care less...

Yes, I spent about a week sifting through it when I first played it. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it, and it was weird experiencing a game I loved end with "that's it?" Then after 2 weeks Operation Raccoon City came out. Made me feel a great deal better of Mass Effects lack of a ending. If you want a truly horrific experience play Operation Raccoon city. Because there is bad and then there is ORC.....

I've not changed my mind. The ending ruined the entire franchise for me. I've deleted all three parts from my computer and will not reinstall them. I feel sorry about losing such a great story, but since BW/EA clearly rushed things and still lie about it has me losing all trust in their capability and integrity. It's all about the money, not artistic integrity - for they have no idea what it means.

I also have no faith that BW/EA will ever fix the ending, and no clarification can undo a poorly done job. The game is lost to me. Sad, would have been the best goddamn story ever.

Well thats disappointing, I'd been considering getting ORC as a TPS to kill time with. :/ Anything in particular thats bad about it?

This question is addressed to pro-enders and anti-enders alike. Has your opinion of the ending changed significantly since your initial playthrough? Did you hate it at first, but grew to like it? Or did you enjoy it at first, but realized later something was off? If so, what made you change your mind?

Let's see:
(1) I like the final choice as such but think the exposition of the problem by the Catalyst is abysmal.
(2) I hate the Garden Eden scene. I don't think being caught in a luddite's dream is in any way desirable.
(3) I hate having no choice about the fragmentation of civilization and the implication of a galactic dark age.
(4) I dislike the destruction of closure by the ending.
(5) I dislike the fact that Shepard can only live in the ending variant I dislike most.
(6) The description of the Synthesis flies in the face of logic. I still like the idea.

No. Nothing has changed except one thing: I think the Catalyst's rationale for the cycle can make sense if properly explained. After the first playthrough, I thought it doesn't make sense and can't be made to make sense.

I still think it's terrible, but as time goes on it stings less to think about it. I hope that with the extended cut I might even classify it as "not bad". But that's just speculation at this point.

Same here, though I still hate it with all my heart and cannot play ME3 ever since I first finished it.
Retreated back to Ferelden and get a lot of comfort out of that. Also waiting on Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition. ME extended cut only sits there at the back of my head now, I start losing connection to ME and this way I does not hurt so much anymore  But that's still bad, for both me and Bioware because I will not purchase anymore BW DLCs or games at this point.

No, the ending is just awful in every way. Although I have more faith in Bioware's ability to perhaps rectify some of it than I did before.

No, i still like it. But i've seen a lot of good points about it being bad and a lot of holes. If they get filled in the extended cut, then it'll be a lot better.

No. I hate it, and claryfication will not change it. ME frenchise must have a MUCH better ending! And not because I am not open minded. These holes, and logical errors are not explainables.

Hold the line!
