I was angry about the ending now i just barely care about the franchise if not for the 80 Fxxxxx buck I poured into it. THATS what get me infuriated!!! Such an ending for that much money!!!

And mind you, I bought the game pre-order and I saw the ending 3 days afther release.  So yeah, the "ashes" are still fiery. I felt rob of my money. I can't think somthing else than pure hypocrisy, corporate pressure for profits and lack or writing talents to explain such ... it's not even a ending it's a yoooopŷ looney of a last game sequence from me3. That's what it is.

Still, multiplayer is quite cool, but .... :

I can't do a replay of the game.

Can't do it at all.

I played Me1, Me2 several times over,

ME3, I'm thinking about getting a refund or going in court, don't know yet.

Here's a cool song for us, ending haters:

Nope. still sucks.

This.

I also can't believe that there are people who can't see how bad the writing of the ending is. The upcoming Extended Ending DLC better do a whole lot of clarifying to explain the huge plot holes and to provide the necessary resolution to the storylines.

Yes, I still think it bad. But before I saw it as a irredeemable (is that a word?) disappointment. Now I see it as a redeemable disappointment.

does it match what both Mr. Hudson and Mr. Gamble said it would be yet? if not, then why would I change my mind. Something usually won't quit stinking after a while, it tends to stink worse the longer it is there and unresolved.

You know, a good example of an ambiguous ending that successfully lets the viewer come their own conclusions is the movie Inception. At the end the story has been more or less resolved, but (without spoiling anything) at the end there is a little thing that could be interpreted either one way or the other. It was brilliant and was a fitting cap to the movie and story.

However in Mass Effect 3 you had a brilliant game that was indeed building upon the past games and past decisions. But then dumped in a lot of plot holes and stuff that had no context and made no sense. This is not something you can call "open ended to allow the players a chance to come up with their own endings." It was a travesty of proper writing.

For a game where the story is so important you have to treat the ending as a culmination of the entire franchise. That ending has to truly shine. Not be a dump for bad ideas that make it seem like the developers just lost interest and didn't care.

Every day I'm more and more convinced that the ending is utter crap and overshadows the brilliance of the rest of the game.

Anyone else think the story looks alot like the Reimagined BattleStar Galatica story?

BioWare has managed to make me, and A LOT of people, absolutely fall in love with a game. That is really something!
(at least is is to me, a 46 y/o woman, as only Tomb Raider, and later on TES has done that to me before)

It is with great sadness that it it took me 3 weeks (almost 4) before I could do a 2nd replay of the trilogy (it was really hard, but I did)

And I haven't changed my mind regarding ME3.

I still love ME1 so much, so I am struggling, but I do play a little - at times when I get the strength to ignore ME3.

Still feeling saddened though. :'-(

Still awful... eyup, still pretty much awful. If anything, looking deeper into how it deviates from the socratic method and letting it fester has further bittered the endings for me.

At first i hated it but now I love it.

They have pulled it together nicely, all they need to do is clarify some points to answer a few linering questions.

No, I still feel the same way, it's a terrible ending.

However, I think they can still fix this, even though they'll keep the godchild, and I have hopes that they will. I'm still giving them this chance to make it right. If they mess THAT up, then without major staff changes, I won't ever trust them again.

They do deserve the chance though. The other 99% of the series was SO GOOD. We know they can do it.. will they? Time will tell.

I still think there needed to be a MAJOR sacrafice to beat the Reapers, but I was fine with that sacrafice aslong as my crew and I were alright (if I did everything right.)

This ending is the worst ending in the history of endings since humans first learned to tell stories and will always be so.

This. And the fact that every time I've seen a "it could be worse, it could have been X!" post that's jokingly trying to be as bad as possible and still manages to be better, it just confirms it.

This question is addressed to pro-enders and anti-enders alike. Has your opinion of the ending changed significantly since your initial playthrough. Did you hate it at first, but grew to like it? Or did you enjoy it at first, but realized later something was off? If so, what made you change your mind?

nothin but hate for it
