I apologise if something along the lines of this topic has been posted (and I assume it has) but if I'm honest I couldn't be bothered to search through 400 odd topics.
Anyway, I was wondering if people know or have ideas about what Bioware plan to do with Dragon Age in terms of content. Are there going to things we can look forward to like more new party members, new spells and abilities, new specialisations or even classes, maybe even new Origins like Qunari, Human Commoner or Maleficar? Is it all going to be DLC based or will we get major expansion packs like with NWN? I realise I'm jumping the gun but I assume Dragon Age 2 is a forgone conclusion?
Bioware's plans for Dragon Age?

They haven't really gone into detail. Check out the preview content for Return to Ostagar though.
They have said there will be DLC in both large and small offerings, though.

Bioware is known for great support (while EA is known for the exact oppossite). It seems however that Bioware is control of the product to enough of an extent to allow them to do it their way. If history is a judge we will see purchaseable DLC's both small and large followed by at least 1 expansion but likely 2.
Hopefullywe will also see some great player made content but given the current sate of the toolset that is unlikely anytime soon, right not its not in good enough shape to attract a strong mod community.

NWN's 4 million patches and 600 expansions/modules want a word with *you*!

We'll see, however I'm leaning more toward recent Bioware efforts than those of the distant past. Perhaps the embarassing debacle of ME's "episodic content" will get them back on track.Daveyboy154 wrote...

You can bet if they make money off of the DLC we'll see plenty of it. This is a good thing.

Mass Effect was an exception to the rule, as rather then putting out expansions and DLC's they got to the business of making a sequal. Their philosophy appears to be to either focus on expanding the game released, or focusing on its sequal.
