Can someone tell me how to turn on EA automatic log-in? Maybe if I try that it will work for me. Oh, and I am on the XBOX 360.

So the game just freezes anytime I try to do something as soon as I get to the multiplayer menu screen. I've connected successfully, tried to start a game or go to player selection and wham... freeze. It only just started this morning. Things were fine yesterday, though I was having some trouble across a few games with disconnects (more than usual).

I'm outside Toronto, Canada.  Gamertag is the same as BSN.

I can get into MP.  I can play about 3 waves, then I get kicked out - it says I've lost connection to EA.  It then sends me back to ME main menu, automatically logs me back into EA and brings me back to MP main screen - all automatically.  This only starting happening on Monday.  It seems to be worse if I'm in an Xbox Live Party.

I haven't lost connection to EA ever, and only to a handle full of matches since ME3 came out. 

Any thoughts?

Is it ok if I"m too sacred to hook up to Xbox Live and download this patch for ME3? I really don't give a F*ck if someone has a problem with it, I was merely just throwing it out there that I'm too scared to do it.

i believe from the main menu the option you want to select is Extras, then Online. toggle the EA login to on and hopefully you'll be golden. Good luck!

hm... actually I think I solved my problem. Just for anyone's info, I already tried clearing the system cache to no avail, but now I just nuked the 360 install (both discs), and now MP is working properly.  Last night when I shut off, I was in the MP menu, so maybe it wasn't done writing stuff to the HDD? A corrupted/fragmented install? hm... Might explain why it was taking 5+ minutes to load the custom armour textures in Single Player.

Mind you, I have played the SP and MP for several hundred hours already.

So there is still no solution or additional message from these guys? Not even a "We're still working on this and hope to have details soon?" Sigh. Definitely gonna wait a few weeks/months before my next BW purchase.

Thanks for telling me this... but unfortunately, it still didn't help. Had to sign out of my Xbox Live Gamertag, go in unconnected... switched that option to off and then reloaded my Gamertag... still tried to connect me to the EA servers and thus still not loading. Seriously, how could EA botch up the ME3 this badly yet ME2 NEVER gave me any grief?!

Just a quick question, did you clear your cache before doing this? In my case it worked after I cleared the cache, then redownloaded the patch (via restarting the game from Xbox main menu).

Sorry it didn't work, especially if you did indeed already clear your cache.

Yup, already did that. It blows.... big time. And after I also sunk REAL life money into Microsoft Points so I could by bunch of Premium Spectre packs (about $50 worth) so this is TOTALLY unfair. And if they do fix this and ALL my multiplayer data is GONE, I am demanding ALL my money back.

What is happening? It has now been 2 weeks since I could play the game! I am extrememly frustrated that both bioware and EA haven't sorted this yet! What kind of customer service is this? First the break the game for a great many people and now it has taken over 2 weeks to sort! Why when it is the patch that has caused the issue has it not been removed from xbox live so that we could continue to use the game. I understand that it fixes a few issues within the game but I think most people would live with those issue a while for those issues to be fixed and be able enjoy the game. Instead I have gained a £40 paper weight! Hurry up and get this problem sorted!!

I've been having a possibly related issue. The game doesn't freeze, but it takes many, many attempts to connect to the EA servers if at all. I try to connect, and I just get "ERROR The Mass Effect 3 server is unavailable at this time."

This has been happening since around the time of the patch.

No strange behavior that I can remember.
One crash after installing patch, none since.
Difficulty connecting to EA servers ever since (April 11 or 12)
Still persists.

EDIT: At around 1:00 AM MDT, April 27th, I managed to connect to the EA severs after many attempts. I managed to stay connected for around three hours before I decided to quit.

I understand that EA and Bioware has a lot on their plate currently, but still. (屮ಠ益ಠ)屮 Y U NO FIX? this is obviously an urgent problem thats keeping players from playing the game and more people should be assigned to the problem as to fix it sooner.

I can't believe this isn't fixed yet. Is Bioware even working on it? All I ask for is an update to let us know you are still attempting to fix the issue and possibly a timetable for the fix.

When you crash/lockup are there any animations still playing/text scrolling/anything moving on the screen? yes the top left has a rotating connecting icon
If you unplug your ethernet cable are you able to continue into single player?

This is pretty ridiculous that we haven't had a recent response let alone an actual fix. Going for over a week without being able to play a game I payed $60 is disgusting.
Last time I purchase a bioware or EA product.

This is absurd. We can't even take part in the weekend multiplayer events. I paid good money for this game and I would like to be able to play it. My game worked fine before this "patch." I'd rather just recreate my characters face then not be able to play.

I bought this game at launch and have only really put like 4 hours into it just because I can't import my original Shepard. I've tried to recreate him but it never comes out right. I haven't experienced this new crash glitch (yet) but it would be very nice to have this resolved soon.

If Bioware/EA is aware of the issue why is game still available to purchase in stores. Doesn't that make the problem worse. If your not doing a recall at least put a hold on all future sales till this is resolved. Make an official press release detailing your plans for resolving this.

Wouldn't that actually require a plan? lol.

But more seriously, this issue seems to affect a lot of people with a wide range of setups, I am not too surprised that they haven't quite pinned the cause down yet. What I am surprised at is that they haven't backrolled the patch, unless people still having the issue are a very small percentage.

Also, look at people who have had other issues like the BSOD for MUCH longer that people have had the patch issue...they've probably got other priorties right now.

Keep in mind I am also just talking out of my ass, and not claiming to really know anything about anything.
