Is Mass Effect 3 going to be the last Bioware game you buy?

Definitely not. But it was the last one which was pre-order CE from EA.

Maybe, I won't be pre-ordering anything anymore though

I won't say I'll never buy another game from them again, but I will never pre-order or buy a Bioware game on release ever again. I'll wait for a decent priced used copy or a price drop around the $20-$30 range. Dragon Age 2 was meh, and they made up for that with in my opinion excellent DLC, so I forgave them. But Mass Effect 3 just broke my trust in the company to make great games. I just see them as any other developer now.

No most likely not, Casey Hudson is a bit of a tool sometimes but it's the writers that make the games for me. I've always loved the story telling in BioWare games. From KOTOR to Mass Effect 3. I actually recently bought Star Wars: The Old Republic, one main reason was because it was BioWare another though was because I'm a Star Wars nut. Either way, ME3 didn't ruin BioWare for me. Sure, I would have greatly appreciated the proper ending right from the get go. But I'm not going to complain, we're getting it for free this summer and that's good enough for me.

No, if the hypothetical dragon age 3 turns out to be good, I will likely buy it.

Done with it after Dragon Age Origins sucked, did not get Dragon Age 2 but if it was worse than 1 ohh well, SWTOR was a giant let down, only really still playing due to free month, sub done and I am done as there is nothing to do in the game but play alts.
I do not care what they do to get people to buy new games over used, but at best Bioware can be a used purchase well after the fact if the game is not hacked into tiny pieces and sold in DLC packages, if that happens wont even buy it used to give them a chance to earn back respect.
Dragon Age Origins was no fault of EAs (i know folks liked it, 10 years before it would have been a great game, no innovation in actual game play made the story mean almost nothing for me, I had to force myself to get through 20 hours cutscenes in camp to finish it once then uninstall.)
Mass Effect 2 was like 90% done when EA took over (I know folks liked it, but it really was just filler in the middle based around Gears of War, you did not get to further any standing except with 2 companions and they injected several half-stories, was fun though and did not end bad, would have bought it used or waited until PC version was in bargain bin)
Dragon Age 2 (others have said enough, after 1 was a 10 year old UI but not advanced there was no point, they sold barely a game at game prices. Sorry but auto attack MMO mechanics for a single player is a waste of money and should have been sold at 10 bucks a pop. They relied on "Story Telling" rep)
SWTOR (more hype than 20 other games put together, no innovation at all and they defended that stance by saying they were not going to break the mold, well ok, but they did not even copy WoW that well putting most their budget into obtaining the IP and voice overs for fetch/kill quests. Also releasing 2 years before its done and making people pay for them to develop is just crap. It will survive though solely based on IP and the devs trying to half-ass 20 aspects of MMOs rather than make 1 aspect good.)
Mass Effect 3 (the final Middle finger at the fan, spend most budget on hype advertisements with lies about game and its many options, spend too much on multiplayer micro-transaction system to get the shooter people to play it which they know they have better options with no Microtransactions, see BF3. On top of all that the promises from Casey and Mac themselves go in direct contrast to the ending they blocked everyone else out of and after all is said and done fall back on review sites that insult fans as their defense on it being a good game. Not to mention since the flop no word from the ending writers except to say they stand behind the team. Its easy to stand behind your own work and share blame with those who do not deserve it. (2 million sales is less than expected after ME2 and ME1 numbers http://www.vgchartz....ffect-3/Global/) On the reviews they use as a defense most are 90 to 100 scores but if you read the review they are actually critical of the game and the text does not match the number for a lot of the reviews. Game companies trying to save face with EA to continue getting games early while trying to keep their customer base and give somewhat honest reviews, followed by direct attacks on the fans when the product flopped. Now that it has people can look at the rest of the game and see the shortcuts and flaws.
No more chances, Bioware is bargain bin buying at best and if they ever recover it will take years to win back fans after this. No ambition, no innovation on any development team since ME1 and now bad customer service.
Moderate away.
