Regrettably it probably will be.

With Dragon Age 2 and now Mass Effect 3 letting me down even when I went into those games with low expectations its not looking good.

For me the Mass Effect franchise has gotten worse with each sequel, oh sorry, with each reboot of the game. There are things I like in each game don’t get me wrong but to see a Sci-Fi Role Playing Game get turned into essentially a full third person shooter with a few dialog choices along with a totally messed up ending and broken promises pretty much closes the door for me on BioWare.

I have better games to play now and in the future than to waste time and money on a game that will just disappoint me and not be worth the price.

Sorry BioWare but you haven’t impressed me at all with your games or the quality of your games in a long time.

I feel like shouting at you... but I'll just imagine it in my head. ^_^

New? Almost certainly. Unless they do something spectacular to regain my trust.

Waiting on the EC before i make any decisions.

Gonna give them the chance to fix what they broke....seems only fair.

Not sure, depends on if I still fall within their "target audience" for future games.

I have learned from my experience from playing Mass Effect 3, from having read both the critics' and users' reviews, and from having seen how Bioware and Electronic Arts handled the crisis some valuable lessons which I will apply to any future purchase. Before I purchase a game in the future, I will research the history of a company and how it responds to criticism, what the users' think about the game, and ask myself how I as a consumer can help this industry to be the best it can be.

I won't say definitively that I will or will not buy another Bioware game. I will be cautious, however, when purchasing a game from this developer for they have showed that they respond poorly to criticism, will not be honest about what their game will be, and will not fight for their product to be the best that it can be.

On this last point, I read this in a recent article. It is from Jon Landau, the producer for Avatar II, and this is in response to a question posed to him by a journalist who asked him when the film would premiere.

"Movies make release dates; release dates don't make movies."

Can I say the same for video games? Definitively yes.

Pretty sure I will. I don't buy games based on the company, I buy them based on if I think I will like it. aka I'm going to buy DA 3 for sure, but I'm not sure about others, yet. Probably I will.

I don't think so, but I'll have to pay more attention to user reviews

Lol! Go ahead and scream. I’ve had much worse tossed at me on these forums in the past from voicing my opinions that are not the same as the BioWare purists here. Not saying you are one of them of course.

The fact of the matter is Dragon Age Origins was the last Bioware game that I really liked and before that it was Mass effect 1. The downloadable content is even worse for me. I feel like I've been screwed over to many times to look at their next game.

I don't think that they'll ever pull a move like they did with the Mass Effect 3 ending. EA most likely rushed them on the ending which is why it is very poorly written (which is a n understatement).

EA always does this.  They release games in established franchises according to strict production schedules.  Seems to work okay with sports games.  It's absolutely devastating to story based projects.

EA is not qualified to manage Bioware, period.  They just don't have a clue.

I'm waiting to see how this DLC goes and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way, which should make bioware really think about how they are going to do this. I hope they realize their are a lot of fans on the line and it would really be a loss for everyone for it to do badly. So yes if this DLC doesn't make it any better than I will be on a strict no bioware/EA diet.

I will do as I always have done. Judge it on a game by game basis. If it is something I find worthwhiled I will buy it.
If I pre-order it I accept that I have put my money down on a unknown product and I might not like it. If I do not pre-order it I will keep a eye on it and after its release I may or may not pick it up.

The whole "never buying another game" thing strikes me as childish and to knee jerkish of a emotion to take seriously.

If you honestly feel to the core of your being they did that then maybe you should seek some professional help?

Or was it the typical hyperbol internet response?

Why anyone should have so much faith and trust in any company for any product they actualy feel like they were stab in the back is beyond me.

Certainly the last one I preorder or buy collectors edition for.  After this I don't think I'm preordering anything anymore.  I want to hope they don't ruin Dragon Age but I really doubt it right now after this and DA2.  Not hard to not buy EA games for me.  After what I heard they are doing to the next Sim City.

I'm not sure, and I have certainly thought about that...This new DLC really has to be hit out of the ballpark for me to feel somewhat happy with bioware. You would thinkt hat after this they would learn from their mistakes though. The ending was also sort of made seperatley from most the writers so if I knew certain staff weren't working on a certain project I would feel more secure. I don't know, their are a lot of factors and I am doubtfull any of this will turn out well.

Nope, definitely pre-ordering DA3. Likely pre-ordering future ME titles as well unless they do something extremely stupid with the franchise.

Well, the only thing from Bioware that I care about is Mass Effect. I tried Dragon Age & hated it & I never played any of their other games. But even though the ME3 ending sucked I still love the entire game except for the last few minutes & I'm completely addicted to multiplayer. I still love the Mass Effect universe so I'll probably buy another one. There's no way I'll be able to just ignore another Mass Effect game.

Last game I'll buy from bioware at full price. Definitely the last pre-order. When DA3 comes out, I'll wait at least 6 months, carefully read reviews, and decide if its just another Bioware Buttf**k, or if its worth bothering with. If it turns out that it was written by actual writers, then sure, I'll buy it. I'll wait til its half price, and probably get the DLC via pirates, but yeah, if its good I'll buy it.
