Hard to say...I will give the EC DLC a chance but as of right now...No. I have played KOTOR and Dragon Age origin, as well as all the ME games. After seeing what happened with DA2 and the way they concluded with ME3....NO. Sixty dollars is still a good chunk of change. I know BW is capable of quality but it seems like they are going downhill. I will first wait for the Free Extended
Cut DLC but if they fail again....no probably not. In any case I will be very wary and research heavily before I part with my money. Not just with BW but anyone else as well.

Also would like to mention the whole "From Ashes" DLC witch was IMO part of the main game and indespensable, but wich I had to spend another ten dollars on. Seems like they are milking my heavily burdened wallet. I realise they are a bussiness and need to turn a profit but c'mon....that was just wrong.

I'm not sure yet. If this proposed Extended Cut deal doesn't pan out in a way that helps the story make sense, then yes. I'll probably also forgo all EA products as well, and launch a campaign for more people to do the same when DA3 comes closer to release.

It's all on Bioware, at this point. If they can salvage this mess they've made, I'll be happy to come back. But they and EA will not get a single cent out of me if they leave the endings as awful as they are.

Plus, it's been downhill for a while. DA2 was ridiculous, then there was the whole EA server issue (a problem thousands of people encoutered, including myself, that EA did nothing to address), and now it's ME3. Everything EA touches dies. It's like the company is a manifestation of Death itself. Rather than kill Bioware right away, though, they slowly bleed it dry over several years. It's painful to watch.

Not a fan of the endings, but I only wanted clarification (i was sure shep was going to die, and my crew).
Since an explanation is coming I say that yes, I will probably buy more bioware games. but upfront? before release? not gonna happen....

Probably be the last you're going to buy, OP.

I welcome more Mass Effect games and wonderful stories from around the Milky Way Galaxy.

Exactly on the EA part. Does EA even have any bought out companies that are still in making games? How many game franchise have they all but destroyed? How many more game franchise do they now own but they will never make another game from? The companies motto is “If we cant beat them, buy them.”

As far as the EA crap servers are concerned the problem still exists at least with getting booted out of the ALL THE TIME. Its not like EA hasn’t made a online server before so there is no excuse for any problems.

I don’t see why a lot of people are waiting on this extended cut thing to make their final decision about BioWare. If the ending of the game wasn’t messed up with in the first place we wouldn’t NEED an “extended” cut to make this Ed Wood or M. Night Shyamalan ending we got in ME3 fixed. BioWare should have just gone with whatever original ending they had before it got leaked (or so I understand anyways) instead of making up this "artistic" crap.

If the game is only on Origin, then I will avoid it. If I can get it without Origin I will continue to buy their games, but it won't be on day one or pre-order buy like I have done with DA2 (Limited Edition version), ME2 (CE version), ME3 (CE Version), and SW:TOR (~wince~ CE version).

I loved the game up until that ending, and was going to replay all three games to fill in some of the missions I missed. Then 10 minutes of WTBEEEP!!! I can't even look at Mass Effect anymore. The Extended Edition DLC has to turn this around. I LOVED this series. Almost better then the Dresden Files novels from Jim Butcher.

Probably. Unless they make a full turn. A lot of the staff that used to be Bioware is not in the company anymore anyway. So it's really just a brand name without much to back it up.

If they make good games I will probably buy them, but not because it has the BW name on it.

ME3 was amazing, so why would it be the last Bioware game I ever buy?

As long as DA3 isn't anything like DA2.

More than likely yes. After how they've streamlined everything, how they've not put any care or love into their female protagonists movements. How they've ignored the fans and everything else. I'd rather go with a different company from now on.

If my suspicions are correct, and the Extended Cut DLC offers more questions than answers - I will NOT under any cercumstances buy a Bioware game UNLESS they offer a refund to those disapointed with the failed promises. They wont, and they will loose a lot of buisness if this is the case.
(ie. "ME3 will provide a satisfying conclusion to the ME saga").
Dont worry Bioware, you were never at risk of challenging that promise - it was failed in the last 5 minuits of ME3.

6 Months ago I never thaught that I would be saying that. But really, I'm such a massive ME fan, and to get the feeling the ME3 ending was written by someone who either knows nothing of the ME fan base, or the writer was directed by some penny counter to give us an unsatisfying ending to make us feel the 'need' to buy more DLC in a deperate attempt to complete the storey - its a massive kick in the quads for all ME fans.

No. Bioware are still the best in my books. I've seen a trend lately: Game comes out, people rage, often exaggerationg. The ending wasn't trilogy-killing. Hell, it wasn't even game-killing. You guys just gotta learn to cope. Here's a quote from Bungie, the team behind halo. (not word for word)
"We're making the game that WE want to play"

Cool, they made the game they wanted to play. How did that go for them?

Im assuming they said that about Reach. Which, based on popularity and number of users on Xbox live is below even Modern Warware 2, which lets face it is really sad.
Too bad it is by far the least popular Halo game by a huge margin. Too bad its the worst Halo game by a huge margin. Glad they made the game they wanted, too bad no one else liked it. I certainly wont be buying Bungie's next either.

Yes, after DA2 and ME2 (ME2 has the most idiotic story I have ever seen) I hoped ME3 will finaly show us what Bioware is capable of. Well, the end really showed us. So I will not support a company who makes one bad product after another.

i don't hold any grudges toward companies, if they make a good game than i will buy no matter what they did in the past, the only way for me to say that this is the last bioware game that i buy is for them to not be there any more.

I can not vouch for that, it could be that in the distant future there is a product of them that could interest me.

What i know for sure is that this was my last preorder for a Bioware product. And i know for sure that some reviews from certain videogamesites are not to be trusted.

Especially a site that fills it with wishes/opinions (5 things i want for avengers! 10 things i demand for the next game! 7 things that are great about wrestlemania! 5 things i ate for breakfast!) ...

but like i said: in the distant future i might consider a purchase, if it´s around 5 to 10 bucks.

For now my plans to buy other Bioware/EA products are on hold. However, I will not be pre-ordering anything from either companies for a very long time.

Depends on what games they release. I just bought DA:O the other day (actually never played it) and if they release some new game in the ME Universe I'd probably pre-order it right away.

Hell I'm even thinking about buying ME3 again, for PC this time (I've got it for 360 atm).

I have nothing against Bioware at all, rather the oposite.

Well, ME3 also looked promising. Then those last 5 minutes came...
