Is Mass Effect 3 going to be the last Bioware game you buy?

But I was already doing that since the DA2 debacle anyway (and didn't buyed DA2 nor ME3), I'm just keeping true to what I said.

Until they unclench their buttcheeks again and stop bowing down to EA's puppeteering i shall honestly pass on all Bioware products.AND even IF by some means i cannot "help" myself i shall watch multiple reviews and in-depth analyses of that product.NEVER AGAIN a Pre-Order or Day 1 Purchase.

That approach doesn't seem to be doing well for them, though, in the long run.chester013 wrote...

I wasn't planning on buying DA3 (I never got into DA, anyway), and I usually buy games based on their own merits, not based on what company makes them. We'll have to see. It'll be on a case-by-case basis, as it has always been.
I think the next game I might buy is Halo 4. At least Microsoft gives their people time to properly finish and polish their games without a rushed schedule.
The key difference is financial, EA are treading water so need to keep products coming thick and fast. Microsoft are sitting on vast amounts of cash.
I agree, I really don't see how it is sustainable long term

But I won't buy ANY game in which either Casey Hudson or Mac Walters are involved.

I think David Gaider, he also wrote Origins and DA2. Not sure how he could write so many good things and then comes DA2, though maybe it's not the story so much as the presentation of the story which hurts it.

And CDRSkyShep. Oh how I missed you from that early spoiler thread where you broke down and started rocking back and forth in a padded cell.

ME3 is near perfect game. Single player is mesmerizing with so much awesomeness. Multiplayer is so perfectly balanced and finely tuned & introduced that I was shocked in a good way.
I'll play this game for very long time & i can't wait for next DLC content. I'm hoping they'll introduce Season Pass option.
That would be even better.
Please whine, moan & cry some more.
I love the salt of your tears.

That said I wont be pre-ordering again for a long time. As much as it pains me, I no longer 'blindly' trust Bioware to deliver what they say, they will have to re-earn that trust. So I will be looking at player reviews for all their future games, both good and bad, before buying them.
I'm a massive DA fan so I'm hoping they can deliver for DA3, I wont be getting the CE though unless there are reasonably priced copies floating about after release and that makes me sad!

I've never been particularly interested in the Dragon Age series (nothing against the team, I'm just not a huge fan of fantasy games), so I probably won't buy DA3, but I'll probably buy any ME games that they make. And I don't know f Generals 2 is technically a Bioware game (its being made by Bioware Victory, which is technically a different studio) but I'm very much looking forward to that.
So no, ME3 will probably not be the last Bioware game I buy. Bioware are one of the few studios that can actually create great characters, which is why I play their games. I don't care if a game is an RPG or not (I prefer RTSs and shooters to RPGs anyway), so the ME games appealed perfectly to me.

But it was definitely the last I pre-ordered or bought on day 1. In the future, I will wait until a few weeks after release with the following benefits:
- lower price
- bug reports, maybe even fixes already
- fan-made workaround for bugs not fixed
- overall picture whether it's worth it at all and
- what exactly to expect
I can only repeat that none of the pre-order and CE benefits (some of which are ridiculous to start with, i.e. robodog) makes up for the disappointment I'm feeling over the problems with this game and how they've been handled.
And then they announce Jade Empire II and put my resolve to the test... LOL. Not going to happen, thankfully.

First, we are talking about Bioware titles here. That is, ME and DA. Pure and simple.
Not the general 2 crap or C&C5. I might buy them if they revert back to C&C1-3 but the reason I buy will be that I was a huge westwood fan. Nothing to do with Bioware even if it's named Bioware Victory.
About DA3, my first bottom line is toolset, which is unlikely to happen. No toolset? Sorry.
Next ME? Too early to tell.

Although I was a fan of any BW game the recent developments have made me the opposite.
The lack of response and the denial of so many fans unsatisfied has made me weary.
Also Me3's ending has ruined the whole series for me.
If a new BW title comes out I'll watch it carefully on the forums and on youtube before I buy anything. No pre-orders for any game at all by any company that's for sure.
I play games after a hard day's work to relax and feel good about it not to be pushed into someone elses artistic interpretation.
If Me3 was a standalone game I wouldn't be so critical but it's the conclusion of a whole series that went downhill so........

The problem for me is that I hate all FPS, and a run of the mill action game doesn't cut it. I need story as well as characters. Bioware has made some of the greatest games I have ever had the pleasure of playing. The reason we are all so mad about the ending of ME3 is because we all love this series so much. And even with the absolutely awful ending, the Mass Effect trilogy is still the best gaming experience I have ever had.
Go play some Japanese stuff.

I liked the DA2 story...the worst part of the game for me personally was the bugs...second buggiest game I've ever played (Gothic 3 was the worst). Lot of people talk about them reusing areas but they were upfront with that before the game was released if I remember correctly...I can't complain much about that if I knew it was in the game from the start. Other than that I enjoyed the game.
As for ME3...I have yet to be convinced to buy it in the first place....everytime it looks like BW does something to make it better (like fixing the face imports) I hear bad news(like the patch didn't work) so still haven't gotten it yet. Not making a decision on whether or not I'll get future BW games or not...have to wait and see what kind of feedback other consumers give concerning future titles.

True, Mass Effect was the greatest game I've ever played, but the last 15 minutes ruined it for me.
Me1 and Me2 have no replay value anymore either, just because you know how it's gonna end.
So sad......

DA2's story was too pre-determined. It may as well have been a book. The ending is also a mess, in a different way to ME3 though.

I bought KoA: Reckoning, and was loving it until ME3 was released. I paused to play ME3. After playing ME3, I didn't buy the recent KoA DLC and I won't even finish the game.
I began TOR beta last August and had loved it since. Now, I have one toon close to 50. After I finish its story, I'm cancelling my subscription.
I'm done with both BioWare and EA. And with BioWare, it's not only the ME3 ending. It's the way they've condescended to the fans and have stubbornly defended the wretched, failed ME3 ending. Their response has been more about Casey Hudson's and Mac Walters' pride than accepting responsibility for their failure. That's sad, and I'm not drying their crocodile tears with my money.
