depends, i dont decide to buy or not buy a game simply by the developer/publisher. I watch the trailer, read a bit about gameplay, and weigh that against my monthly gaming budget.

So I may and may not, depends what games they plan to release in the future

I thought this then thought about homefront wont ever buy thq game again

How very...reasonable of you.  ^_^

Yes, I will buy another Bioware game if it's a game I want to play.  For example, I don't have much interest in the new Command and Conquer game so I won't be purchasing, but I am looking forward to DA3 so I will probably buy it.

Bioware made a bad game full of bad decisions and bad execution with ME3. But that's all they did. They don't, so far as I know, employ children in slave labor jobs anywhere, they don't treat their minority employees like second class citizens, they don't support warlords guilty of crimes against humanity anywhere. My point is, they made a bad product...they didn't, and don't engage in practices that I find morally objectionable. That's the level a company has to rise to in order for me to boycott them.

They have turned me from a customer that trusts them, and one willing to not only pre-order games, but pre-order the more expensive collectors edition of a game, to one that will wait to see what the game actually looks and plays like. In a way, I suppose that's a good thing for me. I'm less likely to waste money on a game that's not something I'll enjoy. I don't feel that I owe Bioware any thanks in that regard...buyer beware is a phrase that's existed long before now. Up till this point, I thought it was something I didn't need to apply to them. That's been proven wrong.

Answer is no, not even pre-order anymore, but i'm not against Bioware specifically here, i am more inclined to hating EA.
Bioware has been corrupted by EA, ME1 was great, ME2 was also great but suffered from EAsification on the streamlined "RPG" elements and the Cerberus Network crap, felt much more shallow (not talking about character development here) also compared to ME1 (where is my M35 MAKO!?!?!?!).
ME3 just finally shows how much EA can screw what they touch (same happened with SimCity Societies, Command and Conquer 4, for a couple of examples)

There's a big difference in being disappointed in how they end a trilogy and not buying from them again. I love Bioware and the products they create. It's my own opinion, but I still think they're going to release great games everyone loves in the future.

I'm looking forward to the next Mass Effect and Dragon Age. I doubt they'll ever end a trilogy like this again. What's done is done. I hope the extended DLC is good and helps people to move on.

I definitely won't be excited about any Bioware game that is announced. Dragon age 3 is a great example of this.

I LOVED the first Dragon Age game, and it was very well made. After the mediocre DA2...

When I think about the prospect of DA3 all I feel is apathy. I wont even bother playing it.

I will almost certainly get DA3 since I really liked DA:O and DA2, though I probably won't preorder any Bioware game anymore and my plans to buy atleast every singleplayer DLC for ME3 flew right out the window after finishing the game.

Of course not. Mass Effect 3 was by no means a bad game at all. It is probably BioWare's magnum opus to date, in my opinion. The ending disappointed a bit, sure, but the game was still enjoyable. I'm looking forward to DA3; it'll be interesting to see where BioWare goes with that universe after the backlash with DA2. I buy games by their individual merits; just because I don't particularly like one game does not mean I won't like another from the same developer, although I've enjoyed playing pretty much every single BioWare game.

So, this topic is "are you ragequitting BioWare?"

No, I'm not ragequitting BioWare. But they've created an extreme breach of trust with their Marketing tactics. They delivered a different game than the one they told me I was getting. So my approach with them will have to be different going forward. Obviously, this means preorders are no longer on the table. And obviously this means I probably won't be buying their games on the day they drop. From now on, I'm going to wait and read the actual fan response to their games, and ignore pretty much all the publicity from the major game journalists and BioWare's own Marketing machine. Too much misinformation. I'd rather hear the real story from the people who are actually playing the game. But ragequit? That's just childish.

Agreed, their marketing outright lies. DA2 and ME3 gives you ample proof. DA2 was supposed to span a decade, but only went 7 years and we all know about ME3 marketing

Potentially yes, not for any rage issue but as I am not a big fan of dragon age and only play the mass effect games this could be the last bioware game I buy (unless ME4 is an rog in the same way as the others)

It depends on how good/bad their future games look from here on out. Only an idiot decides whether or not they're going to buy a game before they've even seen it.

No, because I didn't buy ME3. DA2 and now SWTOR will be the last games I'll purchase from them. I refuse to install Origin on my machine.

Well, i think the real question is... would you buy an unpolished, rushed, subpar product? And i think the answer is NO. Doesnt really matter who the producer is.

There is a trend. DA 2 was a huge letdown for me after DA:O (wonderful game; had the normal version and bought the collector one just to support the game). Combat was dumbed down from an rpg pov and the story wasnt that great imho.

Then came SWTOR. Geee... what to say. Cheap engine, atrocious level design (loading screens, instanced zones), lack of crafting options, no endgame, SERIOUS skill response issues. Ok... awesome 10 Gb of voice acting... but really... nothing else in there.

And now ME3.

Seriously, its not that i dont want to buy Bioware games. It seems THEY dont want me buying them. If their plan is to release an anual title of the ME franchise ala NFL with subpar content (no rpg elements, less choices, linear development, awful nonsensical ending)... then im out. Dont count me in. And yes, the misleading prerelease statements also help me feel a bit scammed, but we've all heard about those already.

I'm probably not going to get it on day 1 unless it is really interesting. ME3 and DA2 both went down to $29.99 in less than a month here in my town so I might wait this time.

Not unless Bioware don't make anymore games. :P

Not going to preorder DA3 unless it looks amazing, though.

In a word yes.

Will I give up for ever? Depends on bioware. I don't like swearing of something or being dead set on anything so if they do a game right then I will look into it. I LOVED dragon age origins, but skipped on 2 because of changes I personally didn't like, and this was before knowing of other bigger issues. I haven't even got it when I saw it for 5 dollars. It is certainly worth $5 but I am not buying a game where they pull a monty python "and now for something completely different" that disregards how (i think) most of the fans felt about the first. Now they put out a product that had amazing moments but overall feels a bit repetitive, not as tight, impactful, memorable, and completely and utterly botched the ending which has ruined any desire to replay ME1, ME2 or ME3. This new extended ending (unless they really lied to us again and come out with a ending true to the series) is explaining the inexplicable and further puts a bad taste in my mouth. If I make a mistake on my job I own up to it and try to fix it. It's not always an easy task but trying to persuade the customer that their wood floor looks good/artistic with scratches and paint is BS. Just admit you messed up, and sort it out and I am eagerly looking forward to buying new games at full price. If ending is just more of the same ending then I may even skip it over if it's in the bargain bin, regardless of the millions spent on advertisements and critic scores.

I'm not closed minded enough to make ME3 (or DA2) be the last game I buy from Bioware. If the game appears to be good and exciting, I will get it. Simple as, studio names, past games stuff like that, I don't care about. I will pre-order if it gets me especially excited. Also I'm in some apparent 'minority' and like DA2. So apart from the mild hiccup that is ME3's ending, I haven't any issue with Bioware.

So DA3, here I come.

Since when do you need to gives money to the game creators to play a game? There's a lots of ways around it.
That way you can use your hard earned money as token of gratitude (or not).

We'll see. I've never been one to buy games solely because they're from a particular publisher, and I certainly won't do the opposite either. It really just depends on where they go with the ME franchise now. I've played DA:O, but it's not really my cup of tea, so I don't see myself buying any more Dragon Age games.

It depend of what you disliked in DA:O, as DA2 is nowhere like DA:O, and DA3 will probably be a new game of it's own too. So unless it was the fantasy setting you disliked, you may give it a try (who know, perhaps the change of game type will works for at least one person.Image IPB).
