If they bring back the dialogue wheel, I mean as a pivotal asset their game, then I would definitely buy another one. But if the cut-scenes are done in a more classical manner, ala Gears, Uncharted etc then no.

I think BioWare are done with RPG genre, it seems that they are slowly but surely ridding their games of the DW.

Not sure, certainly the last one I buy no questions asked, I want solid proof (friends etc) that it's good

As it currently stands yes however who knows what the future holds maybe they;ll do something proper after all?

And i am not talking about the extended cut.

If they fix it. I'm willing to let this all slide. But ONLY if this broken ass game is fixed. If not, then yes this is without a doubt my last BioWare purchase. I'm sad to admit it. I've been a long time fan. Even asked my friend in the gaming industry to give BioWare staff kudos on my behalf.....

Sadly I take that all back now. It's not too late for me though. If they fix it, and fix it right, I'm willing to forget and forgive.

I think so.
I don't care about Dragon Age. It's just another basic medieval RPG. It's good, but not good enough to have to deal with this & if #3 is anything like #2, let's just say I was right.
Mass Effect ended here for me.
I'm sticking unto these forums until the endings are rectified, and that I will decide if I pay for ME3 DLC.
Hopefully, I can tip my hat and thank pre-EA Bioware and the makers of ME 2 + DA:O for great games.
I can do the same for 95% of Mass Effect 3.

I've played DA:O, but it's not really my cup of tea, so I don't see myself buying any more Dragon Age games.

It depend of what you disliked in DA:O, as DA2 is nowhere like DA:O, and DA3 will probably be a new game of it's own too. So unless it was the fantasy setting you disliked, you may give it a try (who know, perhaps the change of game type will works for at least one person.Image IPB).

Not to derail this thread, but... I liked the setting and the story just fine, it was mostly the combat that I hated, and I know a lot of people felt like the combat was drastically different in DA2, but based on the demo, it had pretty much everything I didn't like about the combat in Origins, so I never bothered with the game.

Bioware seems to have some exceptionally talented people in many areas...but it looks like they rushed their product to market before it was ready. I won't be buying any more of their products till their business end lets them "finish" their products first. Then I'll probably get most everything they sell. So many great pieces, but the whole is less than the sum of the parts in this case.

Do not know what they could make to make me interested in their next game. Fallout sequel, Witcher 3 something that does not suffer from consolized controls, or maybe a game that is proper RPG. I think those are things that are not going to happen

I still hold out hope for a sequel to Shatterd Steel. Ya I know I am delusional.

At that point they might as well do Shatterd Steel remake as most people don't even know what it is.

Quite frankly, nobody else makes the games Bioware makes, for better or worse, so its pretty simple, you either leave this genre of gaming or you buy from them again.

Never say never, but at this point things don't look too good for EA/bioware.
Simply put there are new younger companies springing up that want to make good
games that are fun to play. Instead of making "Art ' thats just depressing, confusing and lazy.
Bioware has stopped making games that are for players to enjoy, and have moved on to making "Art"
for "Lots of speculation". Hopefully they will change their minds but who knows.

I was in the frame of mind that I would buy again, just not preorder. However, Biowares actions this last few hours has put the final nail in the coffin for me. Their customer service and general attitude towards people particularly regarding the face import bug is so wrong it's untrue.

Never again will I buy a new game from them.

I can't believe this "LOL ITS JUST MAKING A PILE OF **** BIGGER." Excuse. They're trying to FIX what they created. You haven't seen ANY of the DLC yet, so you should have no right to complain about it. Seriously folks, all you do is complain just to complain. Just because AngryJoe says its gonna suck, doesn't mean it will. We're all human beings here.

Well, unless the dlc really fixes the plot holes at the end people won't be happy about the "extended cut".

That is what i'm saying. people should wait before theycomplain.

Why? Biowares statement about the DLC is already 100% clear on this point, they're not fixing anything, they're just going to throw some cinematics at the game and say "here's a fix" wich is just another way to say F-U to the customers. It's a show for the audience (journalists) so it will seem like they're listening to their customers when in fact they are not, it's called damage control.

Most likely, yes. I had no prior knowledge of or attachment to Bioware before learning of ME1 and DA: O. I disliked the direction the DA series took and did not buy DA2. As for Mass Effect, now that the series has concluded I feel no incentive to buy other Bioware games after the way they have treated the series, both in terms of its narrative and lore (the endings being the obvious example) and its gameplay.

The Extended Cut DLC satisfied me for a while, as I think it would be unreasonable to expect Bioware to alter their entire ending, but after seeing their responses to both the face-import issue and the issue of not being able to access all endings without playing multiplayer (not to mention the existence of multiplayer itself in ME3) or some other method like the iOs game, my impressions of them have soured a great deal. This is not even mentioning their having misled the fanbase massively (I stop short of calling it outright lying for the sake of being civil) about the content of ME3 and the endings in particular, which Bioware to the best of my knowledge has yet to even acknowledge, the fact that EA used ME3's status as a massively anticipated title to push all manner of disliked business practises onto us, knowing we'd buy the game anyway (see the requirement of Origin to run the PC version, as of yet exclusive pre-order DLC, Day-1 DLC, cross-promotion DLC with the KoA demo, on-disk DLC... the list goes on and on), and the obvious dissonance between game critics and fans of the series regarding ME3's quality, which is on such a scale that one cannot help but think all is not as it seems.

Taken together, these things do not leave me with a good impression of the company, If they should create a new IP that does not involve any of the above shenanigans, I may be tempted back, but the direction of the ME and DA series' do not leave me with much optimism on that front.

Is it? It might be for me because they're just polishing a turd instead of rewriting the whole ending. Also I'm expecting Dragon Age 3 to flop and i'm not really optimistic about it because of Dragon Age 2 so they'll still try and appeal to the CoD masses.

Well it's the last game of any sort that I buy this year. (see my sig.)
It's the last game from anyone that I buy preorder (of course bioware was the only only exception to that rule anyway)

It's probably the last game I buy that hasn't been played extensively by someone I trust implicitly to give me an impartial review that takes my tastes into account.

Weather or not it's the last Bioware game I EVER buy will probably be up to the reviewer above and of course Bioware. even then... used and bargain bin to avoid any pottential disapointments.

Ive reached the point where Ill likely stay clear just on principle. I find the way that they have communicated with us to be inane and offensive. Anyone being offensive whilst selling a product doesnt have their priorities straight. You dont bend over backwards for your customers but you make damned sure that they feel aknowledged and their concerns taken into considerations.

I cant be nice about this.

I've played all the Bioware games since NWN (other than Warhammer), so there's no way I'm jumping ship now. And soon I'll get to play Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 with the facelift that company is giving them. I trust Bioware--they'll pull out of this.

I'm not sure. I don't want to declare that I'll never purchase another one of their games due to their odd treatment of mass effect. I'll judge each game by it's own merits.

It did make me decide to not pre-order a game without doing extensive research. I may also be more cautious with other games made by the lead writer as well.

Yeah, no preorders, no day1 purchases in the future for me. If I buy a game from them it will be a long time after release, after I read lots of user reviews, probably used.

Also this. I have a lot of problems with ME3, but the way these problems were (not) handled and communicated by Bioware... just wow. Image IPB

i no longer buy bioware games, they have worked very hard in order to prove they no longer are capable of making half decent games.

they spend more money hyping and advertising their games, than actually making good quality products anymore.

i had enough after Swtor, i gave ME3 a chance, only to loose whatever trust i had left for this company.
