Heres what to do. Click this link. Watch the OP's video. Emerge with a better understanding of how feasible it is
to turn this terrible ending into a better one. Then give the OP praise for a job well done.
http://social.biowar...ndex/11231305/1

Click this link, watch the video and see how the ending can be saved without a total rewrite

part 1
part 2
part 3
The linked thread needs to be read by everyone here. Watch the video do the impossible; making star kid believable, bringing the ending's focus back in line with the rest of the game and even offers a nice twist.

It does all this without requiring a total rewrite of the end.

Seriously guys check it out. This is how the ending should have been handled

actually like the kid, kinda... it was very good

OP made us like the star kid....give this man a medal

Yeah, I mean this guy deserves a medal or something. He actually made the starkid work. Now if only Bioware would take notes.

Bioware needs to hire this man, with a little polish, this can tie everything together and make EVERYONE happy. And they can keep their Artistic Integrity intact.

I was really liking this till TIM showed up. there are a few problems with this

1 )Hes dead, either shot himself in the head or you shot him. hes not just going to walk away from that.

2) Hell no I would not trust him in ANY way. I have read through all the books (not deception, though that doesn't count) and he is very racist. Only thing that bosh'tet cares about is dominating aliens and he wants to control the reapers? All he would do is call all aliens and any that try to rise up.

All the stuff before TIM though was good, and whats after that needs to be reworked and polished. For instance there is still the problem of tubes blowing up in his face, citadel blowing, vacuum of space, re-entry and burning up in atmosphere, and the hard landing on earth AND living through it

I love how he actually showed the War Assets fighting something Bioware failed to do.

Very much a "fan fiction" type of thing but still better [by miles] than what we got in ME3.

thats why i gave it a pretty good instead of a change my pants awsome. I can stand some suspension of disbelief but not massive amounts, but its a start in a better direction for sure.

Well, the part with TIM coming in to redeem himself is a bit far fetched, as is the Allers cameo LOL. But the greatest thing about this is that it shows me it is possible to build upon whats already there, and give us somewhat of a rewarding ending. I mean, I thought it would be impossible to salvage starkid and the colored explosions, but this guy showed that it can be done. I just hope someone at Bioware knows how it "can be done" as well.

Leave out the bit with Shepard trusting TIM, which is almost as ridiculous as trusting the Starchild. The rest is nice, if a bit saccharine. I did enjoy Joker and EDI's cuteness and the focus on the characters.

Yeah it was good. Don't get why Shepard had such pretty eyelashes though.

Maybe Anderson helps instead of the Illusive man if you convinced TIM to shoot himself in the head?

I would be on my fifth playthrough if this ending was possible.

Interesting and optimistic (maybe a bit too much) but lacks quality. And the faces - so lifeless. Besides, I've never seen or heard about anyone walking after a fatal headshot (TIM).

Thanks, I'm glad I watched that. Shepard pointing out the galaxy working together, including created and creator, and showing some war assets is a massive improvement imo. I'm hopeful that BW will add something like that.

Great piece of FanFic. Shame about the Guyliner. And the renaming of London.

Why would anyone trust the Illusive Man? He has an extremely suspect track record (husks, thresher maws, rachnis, more husks)

Interesting, I'll give it that. Maybe a bit too positive.

Also, London is London, not even Anderson can change that.

Good fanfic, but as already stated, it's an individuals take on what the ending should be, even my paragon just wants to short out the starbrat and take on the reapers in a conventional war.
