Hi everybody! I´ve made the ending. I didn´t expect such a big reaction.
I want to explain my intention with this ending because i read some comments and i didn´t explain very well what i tried to achieve with this video.
I think that video games are a very young art form. They are still copying the cinema in some aspects. All the elements during mass effect 3 leads to Shepard death. And that´s ok in a movie. But Mass effect is a video game and you affect and modify different elements of the story. Characters as Mordin, Miranda or Grunt could be saved so i think ...why i can´t save Shepard in one of the endings?.
I think that the good paragorn player who invest hours and hours had a high readiness and save all the species deserves a happy ending for his Shepard.
I am not fan of happy endings, they are more cheesy and cliche per se.
So yes having Shepard escaping of the crucible appearing from a smoke cloud is too Holywood. But then i think that the entire Mass effect Trilogy is like a big Hollywood Blockbuster. If you look the ending of ME 1 is pretty similar to my ending. Is shepard apearing from the soberan wreckage. And in ME 2 is he escaping from an explosion as we see in every action flick. I think that one of the mistake of ME 3 ending was to change that kind of vibe. ME is more close to Star Wars than Matrix ( who has an ending almost identical to ME3 by the way)

TIM REDEEMPTION

Well first of all i didn´t read the novels or comic i only play the game, i did a little research to know his name and when i found that he had a famliy i think that he maybe is capable of love.
So if Shepard will not die i think that the better option is the illusive Man. I like him as a character and i was a little disappoint with him in ME 3. He finally ends as another one dimension villain who wants power but with the voice and incredible interpretation of Martin Sheen. I think that a redemption quality add more deep to the character and make him more credible.
During all the mass effect 3 game Shepard try to convince TIM to work together. He almost did in the last scene. So i think that it could work.
Knowing that not everybody will buy it i put that moment as a player choice. And if you ask me (and if this were a real ending) it´s an icredible choice to make. Did i trust in the villain who can help me to save the relays and my loved character? Or i prefer to sacrifice myself ?
I had an idea of what could happen if you said to the TIM that you don´t trust him but it will not be the happy happy ending that i was aiming to do because Shepard will die in the end.

ABOUT ANDERSON
Some people suggest that if it is Anderson who sacrifices instead TIM it will be better. It´s a good idea but i love the death scene of Anderson and i don´t dare to modify such a beutiful moment. Besides i think that Anderson arc was perfected close but instead i think that the Illusive man still has a little more to offer.

HOW THE CRUCIBLE WORK
I saw some debate that is impossible for the crucible to work as it does in my ending. Well maybe it´s right but let be honest nobody knows how that thing works. How Shepard jumping to a beam can make the entire Galaxy sinthesize ( idon´t know how to wrote it). It made sense to me that if you stop the energy seconds after their realese you can maybe stop the overload of the relays. The crucible is a mcguffin at best. I doestn care that much how it works for me.

STARCHILD
Shepard through the entire trilogy makes peace with all the dangerous species of the galaxy. So for me it makes sense that if i want a good paragorn ending he will make a deal with the most dangerous one. Destroying or killing him is more a renegade approche. Also i cant make the kid dissapear because i want that my ending appears inside the context of the real one (like a possibilite who none has discover yet)

LONDON RENAME
That was a joke. Surprisingly some people love it. Again i didn´t expect this big respond for the community . Also i put a lot of Miranda ass shots as a funny reference to Bioware

SHEPARD EYES
Well i made the ending with a program pretty similar to GMOD i don´t have all the ME3 models yet and the only model of Shepard that i have was that. I tried to fix it without succes and i use also a lot of ME 2 models for the others character.

CLICHE AND CHEESY LINES
Well if someone didn´t notice by now. English is not my Language so i use a translator in most of the lines who i wrote. The cliche lines are more easy to write beacuse they are everywhere. I like some of them though. The wrex line for example. The EDI and Joker kiss moment i don´t know if i wrote it well but it gives a good idea that i want.

Well thats all
Hope that everyone can understand what i just wrote. HA!

Thanks again to all the people who watched it

@Joroelcapo Congratulations man, this was a great work.

I just saw the whole thing and I was going to add these comments. The Illusive Man twist is really good, didn't see it coming but his reference to his own name was a great moment.

The ending scenes are also fantabulous, and happy why not. Joker putting the cap on EDI, well, that's the stuff dreams are made of.

Hope BioWare values this contribution.

I thought it was great! People are complaining about the quality, but I thought this was a great rough sketch of what we could have been given by Bioware, instead of that hot mess of an ending.

All alot of us wanted was to see our efforts paid off in some way, so I loved the idea of seeing the War Assets in action and seeing our squadmates who were still alive battling the Reapers each in their own way. Great work!!!

Holy crap. This just salvaged the entire ending for me. As much as I hated starchild and everything after anderson dying, THIS would make it all awesome.

Ive watched this three times. Unless Bioware can miraculously outdo this, I will consider it my canon ending.

I appreciate you explaining certain choices you made Joroelcapo. It makes more sense to me now why you would use TIM and not Anderson, and I agree that its more poignant that way. Also, you can never have enough Miranda ass shots, so no worries there.

It has its flaws, but I couldn't hold my tears. Something like that is what I was expecting, something to call my emotions. Not just non-sense space magic.
But again, this is just a fanfic made by what one guy thought would be good. Bioware has great writers, I still refuse to believe they wrote that cr**py ending.

I wanted to feel the "You did good son... you did good." not the "WTF!?!!!????"

Kind of sad that a company like Bioware with a big budget, professional writers can't come up with an ending as good as someone with no budget and is not a professional writer.

It was beautiful. I teared up for all the right reasons: joy, hope, unexpected alliances. A far cry from the shock, dispair and horror I felt at the original ending. I just may play again one day and stop the game at the beam of light and play this video. Thank you.

I can see this as the skeleton of the ending to be honest.. It wouldn't be the best but it manages to grab my emotion like how mass effect should always do from beginning to end not from beginning to near end.. I want one with liara as li!

Heres what to do. Click this link. Watch the OP's video. Emerge with a better understanding of how feasible it is
to turn this terrible ending into a better one. Then give the OP praise for a job well done.

Click this link, watch the video and see how the ending can be saved without a total rewrite

part 1
part 2
part 3
The linked thread needs to be read by everyone here. Watch the video do the impossible; making star kid believable, bringing the ending's focus back in line with the rest of the game and even offers a nice twist.

It does all this without requiring a total rewrite of the end.

Seriously guys check it out. This is how the ending should have been handled

Yeah, I mean this guy deserves a medal or something. He actually made the starkid work. Now if only Bioware would take notes.

All of the bad PR, the hate and rage could have been easily avoided by giving us an ending like that in the first place.

This was cool and well thought out and all, a good happy ending, but I don't see what it changed about the starchild at all that would make it any more likable. And TIM coming back from shooting himself in the head? Does nothing to clear up space magic. The only thing I can say for sure these videos did better than the actual ending was add an epilogue.

Still, the creator did well.

Still not a huge fan of the endings and starkid but this was much preferable to the real endings and had touches of what you would have expected based from the previous games.

Helluva lot better than Bioware's ending imo. Especially the third part actually gives closure to the cast, something which Bioware's endings lacked entirely.

Hahaha Anderson City.

Apart from that its pretty good.

I lost it at that but that's something that could've been easily played off as a joke.

Shepard: "I'm kidding.  But I would like a memorial to honor the Fallen.  Everyone here sacrificed to make this possible, and no one more than Anderson..."

Blah blah.  Get to have the joke/laugh moment in there too.  :P

Same here, I have started another playthrough, from the begining ME ME2 just with the intention of saving Mordin which I have, was going to stop there, now I will play through to the beam of light and then play this vid.....fantastic work! Thanx :kissing:

Wow.... very very very good. You took the ball of crap that was the ME3 ending and turned it into something so powerful and so moving. I loved this ending. My favorite part was seeing the allied forces fighting. Seeing all the work you put into the other games come together, represented by the alien forces fighting side by side was exhilarating.

Thank you for sharing.

I don´t like to talk of my ending as it was real but the Illusive man only will appear only for the player who save all the species, who had a high readiness and for the player who shoot him and don´t make him shoot himself.
It will be ok to change a little the TIM Shepard Anderson scene to make TIM not so death but i don´t see that necessary ;)
