Ok so i am in the final battle of the warden's keep DLC. i have chosen to help the wizard and he is going to move to repair the veil. he moves half way and does nothing.  just sits there. i've tried to get the morons at ea to help me cause all the answers i've found for this didn't work, or i couldn't do them.

these are the answers i found from the dragon age wiki. i couldn't complete the first one because i don't have any of those type of spells.

  • During the scene of repairing the veil, the demons that should
emerge never do. Sophia or the Blood Mage who is commencing the repair
just moves to the side and does nothing. This error was on the PC
version. Using a non-character targeting effect(eg. fireball) to knock
Sophia/Avernus into the ritual circle he/she was heading towards begins
the sealing ritual and the demons begin to emerge.
  • For the people who get's the error just use the consle cheats
and type zz_gwb_debug and choose jump to > warden keep (repaired) and
that will fix the end of the campaign.
even if i get this error fixed, i am liable to not buy a game from ea
again because of the idea of: its not our problem look for a solution
yourself on the forums. That isn't how a companies customer service is supposed to work. you are supposed help the customer fix the problem not tell them where to look and maybe you'll get an answer.

I certainly understand your frustration; unfortunately, DA:O - Awakening has some lingering bug issues, especially with that quest. Thanks, though, for posting solutions. I'll try to incorporate them into the FAQs/Solutions Round-up.

I quite agree with you. While not everyone reports the same as us, I found EA's "help" to be as bad as Lucasarts was, some years ago.

To your problem.... I don't know of any solutions other than what you mentioned already. I think your only option is to reload from a previous save and try again. There's a lot of 1's and 0's in a game like this. Even a good company's titles will occasionally have problems.

I don't think patching would help much, because UE comes as 1.04 and 1.05 (which you may have anyway) I don't think deals with this sort of gameplay bug.

If you're still of a mind to try and get around this (don't blame you if not though!) see if the problem repeats itself if you try and re-start from a save before that sequence.

I had this very problem as well and it only occurred to me after I installed the 1.05 patch. Before then it worked 13 times fine. I got past by reloading it about 8 times and eventually this quest finally triggered and worked.

I know the frustration you must be getting. I had no choice but to keep reloading as my previous save was 8 hours back. I forgot to keep spare saves.
