Im sorry if this is old info. I jut did this right now and it worked for me. I hope it can help other people out as well

Hi guys i searched the forums and i didnt see a related post so i'll post what i found.
my situation was that i had uninstalled steam and thus my dragon age. I reinstalled and tried getting my dlc to work. I had the items I earned from the flash game but not my collectors edition, stone prisoner or warden's keep. Those came up as unauthorized. After a few days of searching I started looking at the services [ i read the unofficial tech help post ]. My DAUpdaterscv was pointing to the wrong app. my scv was pointing to an old folder called valve. [I no longer has this folder as it was now just a steam folder]. As i searched i couldnt find a way to edit  the scv application file path, I had to delete it. you can delete the srv by: [ i forgot the website i got it from ]
To Delete A Service
  • Start | Run and type cmd in the Open: line. Click OK.
  • Type: sc delete <service name>
  • Reboot the system
I checked to see if my svc was still in the system and it wasn't.
now i followed the instructions for reinstalling the svc that i found on the unofficial tech post.

1.)
Windows XP :  Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type cmd and press ENTER
Windows Vista & 7 : Run CMD as administrator as per section 3.1.5
2.)
Naviguate to c:\\\\Windows\\\\Microsoft.NET\\\\Framework\\\\v2.0.50727\\\\
Perform these commands to do so (your prompt should be in Windows\\\\System32 by default) :
cd..
cd Microsoft.NET
cd Framework
cd v2.0.50727
installutil "C:\\\\Program Files (x86)\\\\Dragon Age\\\\bin_ship\\\\DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe"
net start DAUpdaterSvc

Make sure to use the path where your game is actually installed (something like c:\\\\Program Files\\\\Steam\\\\steamapps\\\\common\\\\Dragon Age\\\\ for Steam for exemple)

so basically check where your service is looking for the app. If i noticed it earlier it would have save me from a lot of cursing.
