And I have yet another question of derp, but if you contribute both art and letters will the art be displayed next to the letter?

Because I can tell already that my art will undoubtedly feature the same Sheps+L.I.s that my letters will mention.
So not to sound egocentric but I'd love it if the art was displayed next to the correlating letter.

(I hope I'm making sense here it's getting late in Swden!)

You're deffinetly making sense! I'm tempted to say 'no' because that could become quite the organizational/ formatting nightmare fairly quickly. However, I think I've come up with a compromise. :wizard:

If you want a letter/ artwork combo, pick one of your letters and the artwork that corosponds with it. No more than one pairing, aye? Also, label the match in the email you send in. Saying "I want this art with this letter" on the forums or in pming Visii and I will not get the pairing in The Tribute. This is to make it easier for us to organize, and to make sure your pretty artwork goes in with the designated letter without making a formatting headache.

This will be the best we can do without making a muddled mess of things.

HASS!

I'll flay you alive with a whip made from your own spine!

... Actually, never mind. I'd have to read and sort and finish this project all by myself.

NO! There will be no fighting between leaders!

Not without the proper bets, that is. At least let me get everything set up and get a concession stand put together first!

In other news, so far so good! I'm keeping up with the contributor list at the bottom of the first post! And we got a few letters and they didn't require heavy-spell/politeness checks!

This is a great idea! But I wish I could send in a screenshot of my Shepard and Thane, but I can't :( . I don't play on a PC and I can't get one from my xbox. I can't draw either. So I guess my writing will have to be enough :)

Ok, necropost, but I love ya Mayra  (BTW....go visit Fen.....we are almost there...Yea!!)  SO....I too play on an xbox, and not that my pics are anywhere NEAR as good as someone who can screencap, but.....unless your T.V. is pretty old, you CAN have decent pics of a T.V. screen, even with a camera phone.  First off; lighting.  As much ambient lighting as you can get (without causing glare...though sometimes you will just have to reposition yourself).  Next, if you can get your hands on PS Elements (a lot of digital cameras and newer printers will come with a disc that has Elements on it...), then use that to cleanup/resize, hell, even turn it into digital art (lots of fun options to click on).  Viola!  You have yourself some nice pictures even from an xbox and T.V.  Hope this helps, and lets see those pics, girl!!!Image IPB

Yay! I'm so ready for this project! I've been working on a one-shot "fanfic", and I can write a letter like the examples you have provided. I will also attempt to provide some fanart. It's been awhile, but it will be nice to draw again. :)

T_T I miss The Book...

We should totally ask for a pic of them with it. We haven't seen it since PAX...

They took pictures of the cupcakes and the notes that went with the cupcakes.

Ehm, forgive me. I'm not 100% clear on this yet.

Why are we doing this? Has BioWare expressed any interest at all in reading new bulk letters? I know they said we should keep speaking up, but I'm having a hard time imagining them reading yet another enormous batch of fan mail that consists of pages and pages of us going on about our personal gaming experiences.

In other words, it's plausible to me that they would pay attention to a simple message like "WE WANT MORE CONTENT, HERE'S A BOOK THAT SHOWS HOW MUCH WE CARE" but less plausible that they would read through every single person's explanation of their Shepard/LI relationship.

I am not the most creative writer, but if I follow Visii's example, I may be able to punch out something. Even if its not out of this world great. I also have a pic of my femshep w/thane, but taken with my cell. No light flare though.

If we are truly honest, they don´t have to read the book or any other things we send them...What´s important is, that they recognize how many fans out there are so desperate about new content for the "forgotten" me2-LI´s... And it is easy to "ignore" a "few" threads in the forum or something like that.... but if there are continiously are books and letters and these things...
We made our point with "The Book" and now we start reminding them...over and over (if we need to) that we are here to stay and what content they should include/expand...

But shouldn't we be trying to put out a more unified message? Hasn't that what they've been saying we need to do? These letters sound really individualistic.

Where as The Book was mostly focused on letters, The Tribute is suppose to focus on artwork and collages. The Book was a lot to read, and a lot to take in. Patrick Weekes, Reid Buckmaster, and Chris Priestly have all informed us that they are looking through The Book but as it has so much feedback in such a condensed way, none of them have finished looking over it.

The Tribute is meant to be a little easier to browse through. Of course, we're still taking one page 'letters' to be submitted, but we'd really like a lot more art in this one.

But what could be more "unified" then a collection of letters/artworks. All with the same conclusion: We want more of our beloved ME2 Squadmates/LI´s etc...
And in my opinion we have made it very obvious, that even though most letters focused on one specific LI, our intention is/was to speak about ALL of them and that we want more for ALL of them...
I think we succeeded... Of course we are not done yet, cause they haven´t announced such a DLC but we made our point.

Thanks for clarifying, Aryss.

I don't do fanfic or fan art, so the only other thing I could contribute would be a letter. But if we're supposed to be going easy on those... well, I suppose I'll prepare one anyway. Only way I can continue to throw in my support.

@ imp: Yeah, the main goal of getting our voices heard has been accomplished. Further action is just reinforcement. Squeaky wheels don't get fixed if they only squeak once.

A friend of mine gave me a really good idea.

I'll post it later, Visii, not here, but it's definitely something that's also touching your project.

Morning everyone!

@ Nightwriter,

I'll scrounge up several tweets made by Chris Priestly and Patrick Weekes if you like. They ARE reading through The Book. Just... might take them a while.

I understand your concerns. But individualistic in a project is good in a project like this, I think. It would actually be quite difficult to write, say, a concise letter that outlined what we want for all the characters; some people people wanted Thane to die but wish he was just recognized by the crew more, others *cough* want some sort of cure or life-extension... some people think Jacob cheating was a nice spin on the romance system, most others see it as a blatant admission of disdain for the character and lack of respect for his fanbase... a project like that, is a bit de-humanzing in a way, if it's just a few pages and then tons of impersonal signatures.

I believe something like The Tribute, like The Book, shows a bit more effort and creativity on the part of the fans; it's easy to glance over even a thread with hundreds of pages, not so much with a 200 page book. Also, the kind of submissions we're putting in this time, I think it makes for a bit more varied reading, while still continuing in the same vein we set out to, "here's how I spent my time and thoughts in the world you created for my character to exist in, this is how I feel about Shepard (who sometimes gets overshadowed by the force of the other members of the cast) and what the romances meant for my character, thanks for giving me the option to roleplay."

So pleasseeeee... submit something! We're accepting both letters and pictures, because not everyone can draw and create beautiful pieces of visual art or submit a good screenshot *raises hand/ plays on xbox/camera sucks* and others still would prefer to do that instead of writing, so there's an option for everyone!

I think there is already at least one screenshot with Samara and Shep?
