I simply can't imagine the revulsion Tali fans/LI faithful must have felt by that photoshopped picture on Shepard's table. On my one and only playthrough, the Quarians and Geth made peace, so I didn't get the "picture." I remember thinking, "Well done, dev team. Well done. Tali, with her back to the "camera," opens her facemask to feel the Rannoch sun and breeze, and see her homeland for the first time. But my imagination was intact; the mystery of the Quarian face--Tali's in particular--remained sacrosanct.

Alas, not so, apparently. What an ugly, cheap, and sophomoric move. A stock internet photo, badly altered. Symbolic of so much regarding the last hours of the game. Just a shame.

Your picture, Sashimi, is much better. Can we start a thread advocating Sashimi_taco as the REAL face of Tali?

It's such a weird experience, Shep picking up the picture ingame, the emotional violins in the background all i can think of is: uuuuuuurgh... what a poor job after 5 years speculations...

I spent a really long time on it. I put the line on the inner part of the eye because i noticed that there was one in the real tali pic. I put some purple highlights on my nose and used purple eye shadow as blush.

At first I was upset by the laziness of Tali's face then three hours later I got to the end and now I'm so jaded that I just don't care anymore...I'm not into multiplayer as much as I was...I haven't even completed a second playthrough. I just feel…like I watched my dog die, that's how it felt when I hit the end.

Asair don't resemble humans. They manipulate the individual to believe they look similar, not concrete yet, just a theory I'd like to believe. As for the thread, it's really well done, and that's unfortunate, I wish BW took tremendously more effort into Tali's face or didn't reveal it at all.

Maleshep has no clue what Tali looks like until he's in bed with her. As a matter of fact, he doesen't know what ANY quarians look like.

It's like getting to know a girl over the internet and then go on a blind date which starts off with sex. I'm not saying that Shepard should dump Tali for being to alien if she was. I'm saying that if she were very alien, there should be SOME reaction or hesitation from Shepard. Some time for him to decide if he think she looks nice or gross.

I actually didn't mind the whole tali photo scene.. Sure, I would've liked to see her acually taking her mask off while facing the camera than just a photo, but still.

Yeah, I totally agree with you there - tbh I was being a bit facetious as it bothers me that the most alien LI Maleshep has is Liara, who as much as I love her is a complete Space Babe. I totally see your point that Shep should react if she's slightly more alien, though.

That said, I still think the mysteriousness over the Quarian faces is a bit over the top. I absolutely refuse to believe that there isn't at least one enterprising Quarian on the extranet who's decided to make $$$ out of exposing that particular mystery. It can still be a rare and mysterious thing to see an unmasked Quarian yourself, sure. But presenting it as an unknown just always seems so bizarre to me.

It took like an hour. I realize now that i didn't even need as much makeup as I used. 

This is now my new head-cannon Tali. Though with shorter hair since I imagine all of that being a **** to keep in a helmet.
