Multiplayer is getting more and more difficult.

Erm, just to chime in. Once again, I created that Gamefaqs thread. To clarify, it was only the 1-2 days before and after that thread that I felt the game was more "intense" than normal. And yet again, xp gain of 200,000+ on a Bronze game against geth. During that time period I was mostly playing Bronze games with a Krogan Soldier with a shotgun + Carnage spam build. I did have melee spec in fitness, but I quickly stopped doing that once I realized it wasn't very effective to use it as my first option and final answer. I simply noted that for a few days, I died several times during Bronze matches with regular consistency. Then several days later, with utterly no change in tactics or class, Bronze once again became a walk down easy street with 0-1 deaths per game. It just seemed a bit strange considering I wasn't playing on unfamiliar or hated maps(Reactor), and again I did not use a different class or change tactics, respec, or use different weapons(mostly because I wanted to get to level 20, promote, and build my Krogan Soldier with shield evolutions for Rage).

As of now though, I haven't noted any particularly difficult matches in my Bronze games. Just played an Asari Justicar lvl 12 with a Warp Bubble + Reave build FOR THE FIRST TIME and didn't die once. Bronze is low key enough that even an utterly average player won't end up dying several times per match unless he's a Vantard or a Melee Krogan.

Have you ever considered that its NOT a flat increase? that the different servers, being controlled by different groups are being affected slightly differently? That the spike glitching is different depending on the group you play with and the server you're on?
That, and 4 out of 5 people not only on here and on every other thread i've found about this agree, something has been altered in the online gameplay.
I've played all three challenges, i regularly play silver because typically a good player can carry a not so good player through the rounds, so if i get stuck with an idiot player we can still survive. While on gold, if you don;t know what you;re getting into, you'll bring your entire team down.

There we go.  Good discussion.

From what little I know of the different platforms, yes, they do have to write the code differently, even if those differences are ever so minor.  Different code creates the potential that someone misplaced a number somewhere, so that's possible.

In that case, this would be an xbox problem, as I see you play it there.

I'd question the 4 out of 5 people estimate, but I don't care to go through this thread yet again -- or any other thread on the matter.  Instead, let's look at the poll demolition-at posted and linked above.  social.bioware.com/2293687/polls/32151/

xbox is the nearest split, at 9 agreeing with you and 10 disagreeing.  Both PC and PS3 disagree by 2:1.  Of course, those numbers won't be accurate.  They're more likely skewed in favor of your argument by virtue of being posted in this thread (in which you claim most people agree with you) twice, now.

Regardless, if it's not a flat increase in difficulty, then multiplayer is not getting "more and more difficult".  There may be unexplained spikes.  There might be a glitch that has affected xbox.  It's certainly not (imo) BW deliberately spiking the difficulty, as you suggest in your OP.
