Banshees regenerate barrier really quickly, if you wait too long on gold, the little barrier she has regenerated would be enough to render a widow shot useless, it also depends on host, if your lagging banshees can be tricky since they teleport.

some non-instant skills also don't apply to enemies even if they hit right into enemy.
And if not... For example, when i launch incinerate to hit from the air, it can suddenly fly sideways, while the enemy didn't moved.
instant skills don't have that glitch.. i think devs just thought instant "glitches" would be too notificable.
So, i have a solution. Don't promote your classes and try to buy packs more rarely

Am i the only one who think they announce only "positive" balance changes?

well, I don't usually wait too long before shooting the same enemy for the second time... :blink:
I also suspected a lag issue, but I noticed it first when I was hosting. Is it possible to lag compared to yourself?

Another thing that reinforces my belief in N7 totals affecting the difficulty is this:

With a 1500 + 900 + 400 + 300 we beat Unknown/Unknown/Gold easily, with 2/3 phantom spawns (they respawn, but only 2/3 max on map).

Then someone had to leave and we got a replacement from our list so it became:

1600 + 1500 + 900 + 300. Now suddenly we started getting 4/5 phantom spawns and had to start using missiles to get out of being surrounded by them...

I can confirm that difficulty has been raised. Geth have been buffed for sure. Probably because of farming. I can't talk actual numbers, but it looks like there are more primes and hunters. And hunters are also much faster. They are sometimes just running right for you with cloak on. Not always though. I don't remember that groups of 3 hunters at 2 different spawn points before patch. Farming used to take arround 20 mins and it is now arround 27. And it is not about the team. I am playing with friends mostly. The only difference is better weapons.
Cerberus seems different too. More phantoms, but less atlases and guardians. Had a cerberus run last night and we had barely any guardians. No double atlas either (meening, no 2 of them together one behind the other), but phantoms were runing all arround.
Didn't notice anything big with reapers.

All enemies are more agressive. Reaction time is much faster. Aside rockets coming through walls, they are shooting as soon as i am in their field of vision.
Oh, and decoy has been nerfed. Not sure if it has less shields or what, but it gets destroyed almost every time now, and it used to just last whole duration.

I was in a hydra/random lobby last night on silver that felt like we were playing gold plus. It was actually great fun since we had to chat, communicate and coordinate.

True, when people work together and communicate well, the game is EPIC, but if i wanted to lvl up my lower level classes on gold...i wouldn't put it on silver or bronze.

I knida noticed it also. Not on Gold, that is always a challenge but sometimes I play silver to relax a bit and I noticed it was more difficult than it was before I updated..

Wish they would just make a Platinum difficulty for us so they don't punish the players who prefer bronze/silver. So far none of their buffs have made Gold a real test with a decent team. Scale down the Damage/health and throw more enemies at us... playing a game you get one shotted in takes away the chaotic feel of battle.

Nerfing a Decoy/Sabotage/etc because players found a sure fire strategy using it is dumb. Its not a competitive game so who cares if they want to sit on White all day shooting at Geth. Don't ruin the ability for those of us who play the game normally. If you really want to punish that just have a random hunter spawn in the back every once in awhile.

I agry, but just partially :D
One one hand, players are becoming better and need higher difficulty to make it more fun, but on the other, players are getting same reward for more work. What BW should have done is to create platinum difficulty (and later diamond) and give us better rewards.
This is the samse as if your boss came and said that you have to start working 10 hours a day instead of previous 8, but you will be paid same as before.
So, yeah, i agree that we need harder challenge, but it should not be mandatory for everyone. And i certainly don't aprove od bioware doing this without informing us and also lying to us that they didn't patch multiplayer

Somethings different...certainly seems that way. All enemies races hit noticably harder on silver, especially Geth and that's for sure.

Also having major issues with getting abilities to hit enemies: tends to go through them or it does look like it lands but does nothing. Add in fact enemies are dodging more ie. had a simple trooper dodge three warps in a row. Hmm...

It's getting aggravating to cast 4+ times just to get projectile abilities connect with a mob. Warp, incins, throw, carnage, etc etc.

Can't be lag b/c it happens every game. I can play infiltrator np and rack up head shots yet getting one flippin projectile ability to land on a trash mob is becoming mission impossible. Insto abilities seem uneffected, though.... /stumped

Somethings up, def undocumented changes.

Nah, I say ramp bronze up a bit, too. Bronze just doesn't develop the skillset players need to do well on higher difficulties as it is/was. Hell, if anything it promotes bad playing habits. Bronze doesn't need to be more difficult per se (that is to say, enemies don't need to be higher-ranked, smarter, or more numerous), but it does need to punish poor play more to get people in the right mindset for silver/gold and to promote teamwork.

I think the way it's playing right now is a really happy medium. Smart play and teamwork are at a premium, poor play is punished swiftly and terribly, and for good players and cohesive teams it's not really much more effort than it was before. Make it any harder and then I'll start raising an eyebrow, but right now it's very nice and I'm loving the hell out of it.

Personally, i'd love a platinum challenge. but i want the bronze back where it was where you can take a group of lvl 1 chars and work your ass off to BARELY make it to wave 10...with the way it is lvl 10s are having a hard time living through round 6...

I soloed bronze yesterday with my lvl 16 batarian soldier, was the easiest solo I've done so I doubt it has been buffed.
Didn't gel once.

The Geth on Bronze are a lot more aggressive than they were just last week. A buddy and I used to make it to extraction 7 out of 10 matches on bronze, just playing for fun..and now we get wiped out between waves 3 and 7 and yesterday I think we only made it to extraction once or twice the whole day. Something is definately up with the AI and glad we weren't the only ones to notice it.

I noticed this too.

I'm a strictly bronze player and can almost always extract fine, but yesterday I experienced three fails on wave 3 and two fails on wave 6 or 7.

I'm sure it spikes somehow.

Seriously, the MP has been getting more and more difficult.
Its really discouraging when i'm on Bronze, with a lvl 20 Krogan Sentinal, tech armor is spec to protect from dmg, so is rage...and i'm getting downed by ASSAULT TROOPERS ON WAVE 6!!!!

WTF BioWare? why are you spiking the difficulties???

Bronze is the same to me, silver....lol, well if you can find a lobby to actually start a game silver is harder. I dont do gold because I dont feel like it.
