Multiplayer is getting more and more difficult.

Mostly I've chalked up the failed extractions to the increasing number of people playing silver/gold who really should be working on bronze.

A conclusion me and my friends came up with is that the total N7 level of the party adds a multiplier of sorts to the difficulty.
This is reflected in the fact that enemies execute the players with higher N7 levels first/faster than those with lower N7 levels.
There is no per-player difficulty. A Banshee vs a rank 1 N7 player is exactly the same as a Banshee vs a rank 1000 N7 player. The only difference is the difficulty level (Bronze / Silver / Gold).
It may *feel* like it sometimes... I know I've been put down by a Husk on wave 2 before, or some hero Assault Trooper... but it's really just random stuff contributing to those deaths .
All the difficulty hotfixes are posted in Eric's threads - there's nothing more than that. At some point, when the patches come in there may be some behavioral tweaks to fix some bugs - I'm not sure how Eric wants to handle that stuff.
Yeah I've seen no evidence of "targeting higher N7" players. On the occasion that I play a silver public match to level up a level 1 character, I'm usually the highest N7 in the room. Enemies don't single me out in those games.

so basicaly you started this theme for what purpose? Till now all you did was attacking answers....reason?
Weapons and certain powers were tweaked, some buffed some nerved, enemy a.i. has been tweaked to dodge powers more often..that`s about it.
I never tried soloing silver with a krogan/sent, but my engineer does still fine, altough i try this just for fun sometimes. Playing in a team is more fun..that`s my subjective opinion.
The only thing i noticed (but that`s just a wild guess) is that sometimes mob-spawns seem pretty unfittig for set difficulty, i had silver-like spawns on bronze and gold-like spawns on silver sometimes...as soon as there are 4 brutes and a couple of ravangers + 2 banshees backed by a pack of marauders popping on bronze(2player) before wave 10 i tought something was wrong.
Purpose for thread, to discuss the issue of the constant buffing and nerfing that is screwing up a game that worked perfectly fine in the first place.
Reason being for most of my replies?...most others are making dumb comments. So i point out the idiots.
If they make even a slightly intelligent comment that DOES NOT ask for a response, i don;t reply.
You however, made an intelligent response. And asked for a response.

No... I'm flat out telling you, there have been no difficulty tweaks beyond what have been posted by Eric. If you're not comfortable with that, I can't help you. This is a straight answer, I can't state it any more categorically than that.

Well there must of been some kind of interaction between the old code and the new patch. The random spikes in difficulty on Bronze are frustrating. I don't know what's going on but today is the first day since I put the game disc in the tray that I actually wanted to remove it and play something else.

I know the feeling. i was curious to see wat had happened to gold with all these random things happening...i felt like the silver match i was playing yesterday was a gold...and the gold one i just finished was a bronze... T.T

Ah ok, so it might just be a side effect of a patch or something? I have noticed an increase in glitched enemies. Ones stuck in their spawn points, had one that lost his armor then became invul, 4 people shooting him point blank but to no effect but he could kill us. Either way, I'm fine...just a little tougher but still having fun. Great work on the mp, appreciate it

I came from World of Warcraft. They have a PTR (Public Test Realm). Why not just admit your tweaking and trying to make balance changes on a live server and make a test server where people can try out new stuff your working on even if its broken. Why not BW? because it worked for Blizzard for over 10 years and it makes too much sense.
That was a bit rude.

Rude.
I'm replying in the people that aren't that good at this game like me. I can destroy gold, high n7 rating blah blah but none of that matters if people leave the community. Thats what i love about this MP game compared to CoD, people on live are actually friendly and trying to work with each other. But if stuff like this continues, like the other 100 problems people are asking for change, then their just gonnna leave ME3. You can't play multi-player without players.

I have also experienced what seemed like a sudden and dramatic increase in difficulty on silver recently.
And, this was with a group that had just completed the same map several times without any difficulty whatsoever.
We changed host, and the next game we were holding on for dear life already at wave one. It was so absurd I started laughing. We survived wave two by using a rocket
You could not move without getting taking damage... We wiped on wave three...
So since there are no changes made, what other factors could contribute to such difficulty spikes?
I have hard time buying that we were just unlucky, or whatnot. The was clearly something different. Though, the next time I played the map it was back to being normal again and could take out my Batarian Sentinel for spin...

Seriously? Wow, LOL.
That sounds more like a random glitch/malfunction than a "change in difficulty". Don't you think?
