Guys, I need your advice. Right now, I am comtemplating buying both Mass Effect 1 and 2 on Origin. What is holding me back is the fact I am unsure if the extras/DLC will be available or not.

For Mass Effect, there is a separate option to buy Pinnacle Station. But what about Bring down the Sky?

For Mass Effect 2, there is none of the DLCs available on Origin. Does this mean that I have to buy them through the Cerberus Network? Are all the Promotional Content available then (Recon Hood, Sentry Interface,etc.)?

The reason, I am asking this is that I am now trying to restart the Trilogy from Mass Effect 1, now that I played through Mass Effect 3. And it would be pretty useful if I have the trhee games easily accessible through digital download.

I am 99% sure promotional items are no longer available after the initial promotional period. Those items are will not affect your experience.

You can purchase the ME2 DLC here from the Top Menu (Games)->(Mass Effect 2)->DLC. ME2 is wonderful especially when it comes to character and you can get all the DLC here. I highly recommend it. If you are lazy to play the aging ME1, there is even a Genesis DLC to let you make major decisions that you are suppose to make in ME1 and use it in ME2; I personally dont have Genesis DLC cos I have ME1.

ME1 Extras and DLC are tricky... dont think you can get them now. But I am not 100% sure. However, ME1 alone is a solid game, if you are interested in the trilogy, it is a classic and I think you would not regret it. Although the combat in ME1 is umm... as charming as a Vorcha.

Hmm, food for thought. Reading through Mass Effect Wikia, most of the promotional items were just extras. But the collector in me just wants to get everything...
