The way I kinda see this whole thing is like an electronic version of the whole "pink slime" debacle. The pink slime was examined and determined to be perfectly fine for consumption and was for years, but once people found out the gross factor was too much for them. Can they eat it? Yea. I wonder why it's a filler then if it has the same nutritional value as 90% lean beef.  Why didn't they just sell the stuff as its own product instead of filler?  

Didn't say it had the same nutritional value, just said it was edible with no real negative effects. Though I doubt they did a serious long term study. Honestly they probably saw a bunch of meat scraps mlaying around and said "Hey, you think we could make money on that?" Bam, pink slime.

I'm not a fan of them either but I'm trying to be realistic. If they don't decide to fix it like they should there is really sweet f*** all we can do. Unless people on a massive scale stop buying Bioware and EA games, they'll still keep making money, and business practices won't change.

This is what happens when the government turns its back on companies... They get away with taking advantage of their loyal consumers. I think it's about time the consumers were finally heard, and EA was exposed for their excessive nickel and dime practices. I hope Capcom is exposed more too.

Truth be told, I'm more concerned about oil companies drilling in places where endangered animals are even further threatened... but it's gonna happen anyway, not like we can change their minds. They need their billions of dollars too. So they can continue drilling oil out of the earth, with no concern for the damage they cause. And like the deal with the gaming industry these days, it's really our own fault that we keep supporting these companies. Instead of walking to the corner store, most of us probably just drive there. Instead of buying a different game, we buy this game... Even though we know we are getting nickeled and dimed.

One organization has it, one doesn't.

While I don't neccessarily agree, I don't see anything wrong with people submitting complaints to the BBB. I don't see it being anymore harmful than ****ing to Ratemyprofessor.com because your professor was a douche to you or something.

Barring actual lawsuits or filing complaints to a FEDERAL institution, these fans can do whatever they want. BBB especially, because they do have something resembling a proper committee and a set of standards.

I have come to respect the opinions of many ME fans who hated the endings...but this is just too much. Does this mean we are now welcoming the age of "tour guide" gamerism, where whiners actually can force game developers everywhere to make changes on something they don't agree with? 

No one will ever be able to make EA and BioWare shutdown, but I agree this is just pathetic. this is too much for a videogame

EA is on the track to be the one to take themselves down.  But as long as they keep making annual sports games ppl will buy them and always give them more money than they are worth.

Well that's the thing. The BBB doesn't have any Official Capacity. It is a private Organization.

one week a game site denounces bioware,and the haters scream thier love for that site,the next week the site claims its a great game and the haters spit venom like a scorned girlfriend.

Childs play ended the donation thingy because of getting hate mail from people who thought that they were supporting retake, people who made that false assuption, people like you. The donations could have continued, but they were forced to stop when people sent hate mail and asked for their money back, people like you did that, how selfish of you.

Breaking my own "dont reply to trolls" rule just once so i can quote that and keep it in the domain of plain to see.

Here is the difference, everything you mentioned are pointless and idiotic complaints. False advertising is not. Plus, this is a blog statement by a BBB employee; it is not an official statement. Maybe you can't think of the proper words because you haven't properly informed yourself.

I wouldn't automatically say it is retakers in-general. Of course, it was a very big "WTF!?" moment when I read that the first time and found it to be true that a few were demanding their money back because it wasn't for the ME3 ending. There are selfish jackasses like those few retakers all over, thinking their demands render helping sick kids as insignificant in comparison. Its why I stay neutral (and sometimes get labeled a troll by both sides for it lol).

I am probably going to get shot to hell for saying this, but... EA/BioWare kinda deserve being sent through the BBB and FTC... whether or not you like the ending is irreverent. False Advertisement is False Advertisement, Did the amount of rage push someone had cause them to do this, yes, but they have their full right to do so... after all, EA/BioWare did false advertise.

No need to apologize haha. I wouldn't be surprised if we went at each other once or twice on one of my rare bad days; blocking doesn't do much since I leave all conversations in the thread they were in. I know me and Father_Jerusalem have, but I prefer real, civil conversations and hate bringing up crap from the past since I may have come across another person on a bad day and most "trolls" tend to just be those that are just really annoyed and, as a result, come off as abrassive (and troll-ish to those who don't know what a troll is).
And those bad days are common for many on these forums
