Interesting but I'm surprised you didn't take Pull for a utility skill.

What utility?  Reave will stagger just as well as Pull (with other effects besides), and if something's unshielded I might as well just shoot it in the face if I'm going to bother to take the time to aim at it (nevermind that with a good team all such weak enemies will be collateral damage of explosions).

Pull has half the CD on Reave and an 8 second duration with AJ passives.

Husks in a heated battle, swarmers, cannibals, troopers, guardians, etc.  With it spec'd for 2 meter AOE it can grab groups of enemies you can then kill off the armored enemies and detonate afterwards.  Throw it at a spawn and pull all the unshieldeds for a giant detonation, grab enemies from behind cover.

I just don't see taking the bugged 15% power damage or the headshot damage (GPS can't headshot) and 10% weapon damage over an ability that has such a wide range of uses.

I think you're exaggerating how wide Pull's array of uses are, but I can see the argument for taking it over the last two ranks of Alliance Training considering the bug.  I still can't believe Bioware let a bug as obvious as an ability not working at all through...

I am just saying what I do with it on Gold runs not making stuff up.
When you are faced with multiple enemies its faster to pull a few and
reave for a detonation than it is to shoot each one, since the reave
they all get from the detonation will finish them off for you.  Don't
knock it before you try it ;)

3. Reapers DO die in a bubble fast. But brutes and banshees are slow. Yes you can walk up to them. Try this with cerberus or geth and you are dead. Also there is a bug? Where u cant pop up a bubble while standing near an atlas. It just wont appear.

Two things for this: Firstly about the bug, and this addresses many other people as well. He mentioned taking advantage of the animation delay, and that works, but another way to usually fire it off without a hitch is aiming at the floor or the ceiling when you cast. It's a complete pain and is one of the bugs I really, really hope they fix, but it at least makes the offensive bubble more viable versus things like the Atlas

Second point, and I hate to link to a video I don't own in a video thread that I also don't own, but it bears being linked: . This is Xcal using a bubble against primes extremely effectively. Granted, he had a human novaguard distracting the things, but the damage increase on things inside is significant and worth the risk of a drive-by bubble.

The thing is, sure, bubble may not be super-OP on its own, but similar to the pierce evolution of warp, it becomes incredibly powerful when you factor in the extra damage the team is doing as well. If you base your class and power choices simply on how much damage you do and completely ignore the team, you either have no faith in other players (which is fair) or you have a ton of faith in yourself (which may or may not be fair).

Wow, that's pretty sick. I'm gonna have to go try out the AJ now for sure.

Paladin, in the description of your solo video, it said you changed your build. What does it look like now?

I immediately switched from partially defensive bubble to fully offensive bubble after the very first time I tried out the AJ.  The fully offensive bubble is being used in the videos posted in the OP.

The Justicar is great vs the Geth. The only problem is when you are paired with a Sabotage guy... hacked things in the bubble can't be exploded with Reave.

Bump - this deserves more attention great thread on the AJ and vids godlesspaladin!

I'm still a newbie (N7 in the 90's w/out promotions) and have yet to see much gold play beyond farming. Reset powers for the offensive sphere and finding it much better but am finding the AJ great for mobs but needing more punch against bigbads. Can someone point me to some useful weapon damage stats/comparisons? Have found the GPS without upgrades much too slow for cooldowns and need to find replacements that still allow power use in the meanwhile.

Am using a carnifex 3 but it doesn't enable quite the same aggresive gameplay (which i'm assuming is where alot of people without GPS X go wrong in trying to emulate you're gameplay). As the last few posts indicate i might have to drop the last point or two of weapon damage/headshots for pull and have a more strategic mindset (scoped carnifex) or temporarily go with assault rifle weight if something like a mid to high level mattock gives suitable cooldown and ups damage dealing.

Any weapon advice for those still grinding for GPS upgrades but wanting to play the AJ more aggressively or that may help with making the step to (non farming) gold?

Heh, you play the Justicar like I do. In your face offensive bubble awesomeness. My weapon choice is a little different, but the gun is really just for pressure/shield stripping til I can get in their face. I try to stay a little lighter than the GPS for CD, but honestly, it's not really that big a deal on AJ since the CDs are all decently short. Haven't nailed down a specific gun I'm a fan of yet, but liking the Hornet these days with AP rounds...actually SHREDS banshees and brutes in the bubble, plus can hit at range as well if I have to, like say when hacking.

I agree though that AJ is in your face, loved the class since the day I got it.

I thought people hated my videos because they're "recorded on a toaster/potato/insertunoriginalcommenthere," that's why I never post them anymore.  At least until I figure out why my new Dazzle is giving me really laggy/jumpy video.

I can play well with Asari "normal" adept, but not very successful with Justicar. May be because I use "defensive setup".

A successful Justicar is a proactive and aggressive Justicar who runs into battle saying "Embrace eternity!" and "Your life is mine!" in their best impression of Samara.

Also, a key point of the Asari Justicar is understanding how to set off chains of biotic explosions, rather than just one at a time like Asari Adepts and Human Sentinels.  Like the Drell Adept's Cluster Grenades, a properly utilized biotic bubble will set off chains of explosions and get you more than 1 explosion per two abilities.

Sure I'd prefer crystal clear video footage but the gameplay is both awesome to watch and you can pick up heaps just watching so thankyou. Mightn't be everyones cup of tea (and i can understand that) but exactly what i was looking for. :)

Anyone have a link to a reliable weapon comparison chart that includes weight/cooldown?

Well if you want more videos I can make more videos. I play pretty much every class and can solo with any of 'em.

Really the only class I almost never use is the Batarian Sentinel.  Three mediocre abilities that don't synergize effectively with each other and Krogan Stagger without the durability and better melee makes me sad.

Oh, and the Krogan Vanguard, because the rage glitch nauseates me.  WTF BiowarEA?  Much more than any other bug, I don't get how something like that can get past QA.

Seems to be consistent with the one I have from the May 9th updates, I didn't check everything, just damages mostly.

It has been my opinion that a "Get Godless a Capture Tool" Kickstarter might actually work and be worth it. Just sayin.
