Her Marksman ability with the Revenant makes for some impressive firepower.

Revenant with Disruptor ammo under Marksman is pretty neat. I wouldn't say she is the best option for any mission, but she is semi-useful.

I'm inclined to give her a Particle Rifle because regardless of how accurate it can be, the squad DPS with Particle Rifles is more powerful.
I'm inclined to make a default Shepard to unlock her just for her bonus powers.

ya this. She was always pretty much useless in my playthrough. Only member of the squad to not get an brain when they upgraded the AI. She always just ran out and got herself killed.

@Bantz: Really? For me, Ashley seemed like the most survivable squadmate, and the best (or tied w/ Garrus) damage dealer on the squad. Liara was the one that was always going and getting herself killed.
I brought Ashley and Liara w/ me on the Monastary mission, and at the part with two banshees, I engaged one and left the other to my squad. Liara went down almost immediately, but by the time I killed the one banshee, Ashley was still alive and brought the other one down to 1/3 health.

People kept suggesting burst weapons so the squad mates would get their shots off then hide behind cover lowering their exposure to enemy fire.
How come now in ME3 I see so many Revenant recommendations for the squad mate weapons?

Squad are now tougher and cover is less effective in ME3. Revenant and GPR are great for triggering ammo power imo.

Squadmates are generally better at staying alive (no more dying to one random mook), and they also got better with full auto weapons. In ME2, they would only fire off a few rounds no matter what weapon they had, so it was better to give them slower, more powerful weapons. In ME3, they will empty the entire clip into an enemy if the opportunity presents itself, making full auto weapons more appealing.
Hell, with the right squad builds, you can make the game self-playing even on insanity. Ashley + Garrus + Particle Rifle/Revenant + Squad Explosive Incendiary Ammo = grab something to drink and watch everything die.

Does the +large clip size mod affect team mates?

EDIT: Also has anyone been able to make something viable out of the Argus, Ash or otherwise?
