Just to name a few...
1) Save mages/Kill all mages in the tower
2) Remove the werewolf curse/make a werewolf army
3) Put Prince Bhelen on throne or Lord Harrowmont
4) Destroy, or not destroy the Anvil
5) Who will rule Denerim
6) Whether or not Morrigan conceives a child
I think 1 and 2 are pretty much inconsequential. Even if you wiped every mage in the tower, there will still be more mages born in the land, and there will be some form of policing them. As for 2, even if you make a werewolf army, there are still dalish in other lands,
Now 3 sets up a good storyline for the next Dwarf origin, if Bhelen becomes the canonical ruler of Orzammar. On one hand, you've got a ruler who advanced the Dwarves from their stagnating status, even so far. On the other, him dissolving the assembly and ruling the kingdom with an iron fist may set him as a tyrant that needs to be stopped. Certainly, I find Bhelen becoming king to have more interesting possibilities than Harrowmont.
The anvil I think is meant to be destroyed. I'm pretty darn sure the writers won't 'redo' the anvil quest, despite having an attack against Branka's fortress be considered a major quest line.
As for who to rule Denerim, I think pretty much Anora/Alistair is pretty much set in stone. Can't for the life of me have a noble woman rule with Alistair, since they would produce no heir, while noble male and Anora would similarly be the end of the Calenhad line.
Now the last one is most interesting. Assuming Alistair is both their fathers, having the child of Morrigan fighting over the succession of the Kingdom against Anora's child would make an interesting story indeed.
Even if it wasn't Alistair's child, I'm pretty darn sure Morrigan conceived a child before the final battle. This plot line is just too juicy to pass up, having maybe the next mage origin to be of the apostate with Old God running through your veins.
Of course, this is all assuming that the next DAO isn't set a few hundred years in the future, in which all the above would be moot (apart from maybe Morrigan's child, since that child might be able to live for long periods of time like Flemeth did). After all, Blights only really happen once in a few centuries in order for writers to have this 'escape route' in case they don't want to deal with the choices made in the first DAO lol.
What choices do you think will be considered 'canon' for Dragon Age 2?
