I'm on PS3 and in ME2 I chose to romance Ashley in the comic. In ME2 I decided to become Casanova and had the fling with Samara (i.e. we almost kissed) and asked Kelly to my cabin. In the end I had Tali to be my romance. When I imported this Shepard to ME3 during my second visit to Ashley in the hospital she said something like "rumor has it that you 'worked it out' with many people..." then two dialogue choices appeared: "Never" and "I don't know". I then went to look at a video on Youtube and the two choices in the video were instead "Clean slate" and "You left me".

Which set of choices do you have? Any idea why there's the difference?

My male shepard romanced Liara and Ashley in me 1 until he had to choose. Ashley was chosen... then I got Ashley asking Shepard if they broke all ties... got, no, he wanted to work it out... that's when the line about Miranda comes up... Or "I don't know" He doesn't tell Ashley about Miranda and neither does Ashley. "Clean Slate" "You left me." Is present in mine.

Never saw the "rumor has it that you 'worked it out' with many people." Neat.

My Shep got with the Consort, then started with Liara and Ashley both in the first game, but eventually went with Ashley. Slept with Jack, then romanced Tali but broke up with her in ME2.

To make it even better, Shepard went to Grissom Academy right after Ash said that and told Jack that she looked good. Jack's response: "What? You want to screw me in the subdeck again?" So yeah, got told twice in about 10 mins.

I mean, it's all good, but my import clearly read "Romanced Ashley in ME1, romanced no one in ME2."

EDIT: Not sure it matters, but I'm a PC playa.

I guess the dialogue options do differ depending on the number of people Shepard tried to romance. Although I don't have a save where Shepard played the "Casanova," the end is the same: either you go for the forgiving tone or confronting tone, and you make up with Ashley.

So you broke up with Tali after having locked-in with her, then when you imported the save to ME3 the screen said "romanced no one", am I correct?

I want to ask this because I'm just getting a tad worry that I'm getting different dialogue choices with Ashley in the hospital because those are the dialogue choice if I've romanced someone in ME2 then breaking up with her, which is not true because I was still with Tali at the end of ME2, and when I imported the save in ME3 the screen says I had romanced Tali.

I romanced Ashley in ME1, flirted with everyone in ME2(except Samara) and i got the "rumor has it..." line. I'm pretty sure you get that if you progess every romance option up to right before you "seal the deal".

Yep. Broke up with her after the suicide mission because I wanted to "stay loyal." That worked out pretty well, didn't it?

But I'm guessing you haven't had a chance to talk to Tali yet in ME3? Or maybe it's because of all the flirting around in ME2?

So, just for kicks, I loaded up the endgame file in ME2 to see what Shep's female squadmates thought about him.

MIRANDA: Go play with Jack.
JACK: Eff off.
SAMARA: I'm meditating here. (And I think Shep had hit her on too.)
KASUMI: Come back later. (You can't romance her so that probably doesn't matter.)
TALI: I need to clean up this engine. *end convo*

I've just heard from somewhere else that if your Shepard's paragon then the dialogue choice would be "Never" and "I don't know" after Ashley told you "Rumor has it..."; if your Shepard's renegade, then it's "Clean slate" and "You left me".

That can't be true because my Shep is about 80-20 Paragade and I got the "Clean Slate"/"You left me"

In that case then I don't know what was happening...
I seemed to feel that most people would get the Clean slate/You left me dialogue option so I was wondering why I'd get the other one

You could be right. I'm just surprised to find that most people seem to have the "Clean slate" options.
