I don't understand what the point of Anderson's little reveal that he was born in London was considering it's only one line in passing followed by an awkward silence a few hours later. Just a few lines of extra dialogue in the shuttle wouldn't be too big an ask.
"I was born in London".
"Really?"
"Yes, Covent Gardens, my father was an engineer at the ship yards, he used to....... Let me explore inside them, sometimes".
"Is that what made you decide to join the Alliance?"
"No, he he, no, that was my mother's fault. She was a trainer at the academy, she used to be saluted by half the people that lived in our block. I knew that one day, I wanted to be respected like that. What about you, Commander?"
Spacer - "I lived on Alliance ships and stations most of my childhood, both parents were Alliance. Kind of taken as a given I follow in their footsteps."
Orphan - "Life was tough on the streets. The Alliance seemed like a way to escape the crime, and hardship".
Colonist - "After the slavers attacked Mindoir and the Alliance patrol picked me up, I didn't have anywhere else to go".
"Doesn't bother me though. Think, I wouldn't of met you otherwise, sir, or anyone else here."
"True Commander, very true."
"What's it like to be back here now?"
"It's......... Difficult. This used to be a thriving metropolis, now it's just rubble".
"We'll rebuild it Anderson, don't worry."
"I'll be fine, there are bigger problems to take care of before any of that."
Doi, I cans wrote for BioWare!
