Hey all,

I am wondering if items that give like +10% dodge stack with each other. For example, I saw a set of boots that gave 10% dodge, and a necklace that had 10% dodge. If I wear both, do I get 20%?

Or is there some cap placed on dodge %? Darn, I wish this game came with a bigger manual. :P

based on how fade shroud works im fairly sure they do stack, not 100% tho. ETA that is the place where fade shroud is applied simply modifies PROPERTY_ATTRIBUTE_DISPLACEMENT by +25 in that case.
problem is i think the function that modifies it is in the engine so i cant see if it caps it there. no idea how else to find out if its capped

My assumptions is that they give diminutive returns, in the sense that the game checks each item seperatly. Short version, having two items with 10% dodge gives you 19% dodge chance.

it doesn't check them separately. they're all added to your PROPERTY_ATTRIBUTE_DISPLACEMENT stat, then the game checks that stat as the first stage of seeing whether you get hit. evasion adds to this stat too btw.

Neat. Thanks :-)

edit: Followup question, when you switch forms do the stats items give you stay? Like say if I took shapeshifter, would my +dodge items still work? I am determined to get those forms to be halfway decent :P

Displacement is capped at 100 according to the Properties worksheet in tools/Source/2DA/properties.xls.
I guess it's possible that the code imposes a separate cap of its own, but this is as good a guess as any :P

Heh I thought that was sort of obvious. Nothing countacts it, so there's no point whatsoever having over 100.
