I've got a quandry that I haven't been able to figure out. I've made myself and the entire crew a set of armor and appropriate weapons but what I'm wondering is how I might get that to scale per level so that say at level 7 (Lothering) I would have Grey Iron material most likely and maybe 3 levels after it would "progress" to steel.

But, what I have to end up doing thus far is changing it in the toolset to what material I think might be appropriate for my current level. I am guilty of toolset "cheating"  by putting in tier 6-7 material which quickly became noticeably way too easy to kill things...that's partly why I want to figure out how to "progress" my weapon/armor material without having to go to the toolset to change it every time. Am I missing something about choosing my materials properly to make that work as I intended or perhaps I need to put it in a chest and leave/come back? (I have the camp chest mod)

A quick rundown would be most appreciated, I am familiar with making items but the progression feature still evades my understanding. Posted Image

Items don't scale to the PC's level automatically. You need to sell them to a merchant for them to become a material suitable to your level (some people have reported that the chest at Warden's Keep upgrades stuff as well, so maybe the storage chest from the mod works too).

However, for items to be able to scale, you need to set their "MaterialProgression" property in the toolset appropriately. If you want a sword that can be of any material, you need to set it to "Weapon, all metal", for instance.

I hope that helps.

Well I have no immediate luck with chests, even after going somewhere, but merchants do work for upgrading my items after a quick save....just need to re-adjust the gold cost so I can buy my stuff back, lol.

So it looks like that is how I'll need to do it after all, strange that it spawns some things as steel and others as grey iron even though my own level is consistant.

Im trying to get my quartermaster mod to upgrade items on his own. So when I figure out how, that could do it for you.
