It will either save ME (all 3 games, since the ending made them all useless).... or itll do nothing worthwhile and ME can go in the pile of "wasted potential, ignore forever" such as DA2.
... I refuse to think of the possibility of them making the ending even worse.... they cant can they >_>?

Cautious. But allowing for the benefit of the doubt. In other words, a 'wait and see' approach.
Bioware deserves the chance from the fans to attempt and set things right.

I'm optimistic about closure and happy ending.
I'm pessimistic about the star brat and plot holes and space magic.
My best hope is Indoc theory.
Indoc theory is our salvation through destruction

Anxious, optimistic.

It shouldn't have happened. If they did everything right the first time, this Extended Cut wouldn't have been needed, sparing us some grief but here we are. I'm hopeful and Bioware knows the stakes are high for them and any future titles they have plan like DA3.

I think it can perfectly fix great majority if not all problems of the endings. Looking forward to it greately.

Same as well.
@OP I believe Bioware will fix these issues. Hopefully along with the fixed endings is also a patch to fix the atrocious journal in ME3. That alone makes me miss the days of ME1 and ME2 journal.

I really do hope/expect the ending to be rather drawn out... No game in history has had the scope or magnitude to ME. I want to see like 30 minutes to an hour of cinematics, dialog and closure based on our decisions.

I'm skeptical. All the "clarification" in the world can't make me accept an ending like that.

I was trying to figure out why I got a Bioware mark on this. I feel slow now haha.

It better eat toxic waste and poop diamonds if it's going to redeem that terrible punch to the gut that was the current ending.

Basically this. Perhaps more skeptical that optimisitc. A lot could be fixed or very little. I hope they genuinely consider the problems we've written out and actually address them in some meaningful way.

Considering it is likely deleted scenes that some of which we've already seen...apathetic.

Well I want to optimistic, but the extended cut has a lot to live up to, and bioware are not being very forth coming about what to really expect in any sort of detailed manner. If it does fail to address the main issues with the ending then it will be another nail in biowares coffin

My thoughts exactly. If they don't fix the ending entirely, they've ruined an entire franchise. They could have made a lot of future games based on the ME universe but with that ending, clarified or not, I'm not sure who'd want to play.

They have the chance to either do some damage control, or irreparably destroy many player's faith in Bioware. Either way, the fanbase will never be quite the same.

Unless they completely remove the kid I don't see how it can salvage anything, and they don't seem to want to do that so I don't think it will work. However even if it completely fixes every problem and gives us the 16 distinct endings we were promised it still will do little to restore my faith in BioWare/EA. It shouldn't take a month for a company to make a statement about a problem with their product, particularly when 90% of their consumers who take the time to vote pointed out that they took issue with it. If anything comes out of this whole mess I hope that studios recognize that their consumers expect things from their products and that if they continue to lie and nickle and dime them then they won't have customers for very long.
