Have you tried deleting it before starting origin. Seems like origin thinks it is corrupt.
You can do a repair install on dlc. Click on the ! icon on the game image. Scroll down and rightclick on the dlc, then repair install.
You can disable automatic updating. Click on the cogwheel and go to settings. Scroll down and disable automatic updating.
