Muah! This is perfect.

This is priceless.

This thing is gold

anyways people take the hostility down a level!!!!!

Bioware screwed us, but we can screw them!!!!

the funny thing is that they HAVE to release games to stay afloat, and we can just stop buying them :D

no need to vent the hostility on Mr Woo or any other Bioware staff

And this is why I've completely lost faith in BW.  It's like Ford "disagreeing" with the critics of the Pinto.

"We aknowledge that it bursts into flames when struck from the rear, but our engineering team stands behind the design.  We will recall all Pintos in order to add a clarifying sticker to the rear bumper warning that the gas tank exploads when struck."

More like we are listening to the feedback....we'll have a clarification sticker this summer...
If the people knew what was coming they would be exciting..

Now the Pinto explodes in purple flames :wizard:

They didnt know there would be such a demand for it? Really? Come on if you have at least tried to listen to the fans even before the release of the game you would KNOW for 100%.
This just makes me angry, really angry. Is it another excuse or did they really think that the horrible horrible mess thet  created would go down well with fans?
I hope the extended cut is good otherwise if they create another abomination...
I just dont want to imagine what will happen. But it would be bad, very bad move.

I don't know whats worse the ending or the way Bioware is handling themselves.
I really hope other small developers take this chance to stick to them, and gain some new fans.
(Looking at you CD Projekt)

Looking back over some of the marketing that was being spewed out in the months leading up to the games release last month, it's hard for me to believe that anyone with half a brain would consider the game we recieved lived up to what was promised. That's just me though.

I have bought the Wither 2,because of Bioware fans attitude towards CD Projekt. So yes they may be gaining new fans. Releasing Wither 2 on the console or consoles? Does not hurt in any case either.

Mod troll. Perfect. This forum got funnier and funnier. What's the point listening if you're only gonna do as you please. Saying you *completely* disagrees with someone but take his feedback into account only means that you being hypocrate.

agree. especially since it totally derailed from the actual point of the thread which wasn't disagreement but a claim to actually have not known what fans wanted. Which would be counter, or at best unrelated, to Mr. Woo's statement. And of course the thread turns into opinion vs opinion rather than, how the hell could bioware claim they didn't know what the fans wanted. Either they are completely disconnected and never were listening, still counter to Mr. Woo's random statement, or they're insulting our intelligence.

I generally agree with this, but I also think when someone says something that's utter nonsense it should be called out. And, as a response to the quote OP originally posted. that statement was utter nonsense.

Or both!

They're not listening, they don't care, and they think we're all stupid little fishies who will gobble up their game-pellets to make their aquariums look pretty.

Again....looking at the marketing for this game it seemed BioWare knew exactly what the fans wanted....they just didn't deliver.

So does anyone from bioware care to discuss the actual quote and explain how they could legitimately not know?

don't worry, I'll wait.

Edit: also still waiting for an explanation of you don't need MP for the best ending.

I completely agree. It's really disappointing to see what was said before the game was released, then how it actually turned out, especially when they must have known when they said it that those parts would never have made it into the game.

Even though we'll probably never find out, it would be very interesting to know the real story behind what went on during development. It's pretty clear there must have been disagreements in the direction the game took. I think there are probably quiet a few people on the ME team who are just as disappointed as the fans are but just can't say anything.

Any half-decent QA work would have told them that the ending didn't match the rest of the game. That's the most disappointing part - shipping it when they new it wasn't what they had said it would be.

The leading theory seems to be that EA rushed Bioware and short-changed them on resources, leading them to have to cut a lot of things. And they can't throw EA under a bus and say it's their fault, because they get their money from EA, and EA won't let them apologise because that would make EA look bad by proxy and lower their stock prices.

I would feel bad for them if not for their absurd PR response. That made me more upset than the ending + the other flaws in the game.

My view, boycott EA and Bioware until they fix this crap. But I'm certainly not holding hope for Bioware. With their idea of an "extended ending", it seems they basically want to tell us why we are stupid and don't understand their artistically brilliant work (aka, a piece of S*** ending).
