Mark Valley, of the show "Human Target", should be male Shepard.  He's a good actor, is clean cut and looks military, oh, and yes he was military (a graduate of West Point no less).

(I think highly of Liam Neeson, but I hate to say it, he's too old to play the part now)

The thing many of you who are voting for young actors (you're young yourselves, I get that)..but seriously...Amanda Bynes is barely old enough to be a newbie Lieutenant (maybe) and no way old enough to be a full Commander. A full Commander (or Lt. Colonel equivalent) would be in their mid 30s at the YOUNGEST, so no twenty-something is going to work there and be remotely believable as a military commander.

haha this!^

I'm not watching that movie, Shepard will always be my Shepard, I find it offensive they would make a movie promoting a canon Shepard.

They should have done Contact War, as much as I love everything Mass Effect, I will not watch this movie.

Okay maybe I'll torrent it. But it's still very unlikely, if I ever see this movie it's because I no longer care about the games or the way it happened for me.

Whoever he is he should wear a helmet/paper bag the entire time. Except for that photo he gives to Garrus late in the movie.

The guy from Spartacus Vengeance would do pretty well, I didn't think he could do as well as the previous actor but he really came into his own and made the part his later in the season.

I also thought of Liam McIntyre but the question is, can he do a North-American accent?

The Grey Nayr wrote...

Problem with that, Vanerdloo is
dutch. We don't know if he even speaks English, and if he does, it'd
probably be with a thick accent.

Pretty much all the Dutch speak English. Same for Flemish people and Scandinavians. The problems with Vanderloo is that he's no actor, has a high pitched voice, and he speaks English with a Dutch accent.

To be honest, I think the best actors for the job would be either Guy Pearce or Michael Fassbender (what isn't he good in?).

If you're looking for more of a meathead shepard, maybe Javier Bardem or Josh Brolin would be good choices.

Ugh.. There's gonna be a Mass Effect movie? This will not end well.

Actually there's gonna be two. The live action film is being produced by Legendary Pictures and this studio tends to treat its source material with respect. They produced The Dark Knight.

If they casted a FemShep, I'd actually be interested in watching it. It'll never happen, but oh well.

Vin Diesel or Dwayne Johnson. I can't think of an actress that I'd want to play Shepard though. My female Shepard seems far thougher than what Hollywood would be willing to cast. Though I guess in ME3 female Shepard did get spindly. I guess in that case Zoe Saldana or Charlese Theron would work. I'd rather not have a spindly Shepard though.

Don't care 'cause obviously the movie is not an option. Movie makers always do crap after originals.

They shouldn't do a movie about Shepard IMO... I think they should have start a movie with Jon Grissom or the First war contact!

Honestly Im not even looking foward to see this movie, becouse games into a movie normaly is a big failzor! But ofcs this is just my opinion!
