Why don't they do it ala Avatar. Hell gametrailers now-days looka amzing, and in fact are more entertaining from an action standpoint (see Batman AA, SWTOR trailers).

Make it CGI and have Mark Meer voice him again or I wont bother with a movie.... The CGI trailers and such are better than most movies released these days anyways.

Matthew Fox is less interesting that a bag of nails. We need someone badass, like what Daniel Craig did for Bond in Casino Royale. Remember....he doesn't have to look like default Shepard, because Shepard can look like anyone.
Someone mentioned Gerry Butler. I could totally see that. Chris Evans is good, but he's almost too "pretty" for Shepard, in my opinion. Maybe Michael Fassbender? He pulled off Renegade pretty damn good in First class...

Hmmm... well it's a video game movie so it's not going to get an A list actor or a great director. You're looking for an actor who can look mid 20s to mid 30s (Shepard might be older, but Humans in ME live longer, so he probably would look young for his age), with some experience (probably TV as opposed to movie). I'm thinking Jason Momoa (Stargate Atlantis, Conan) for renegade Shep or Andrew Lincoln (The Walking Dead) for paragon Shep.

cgi is the best possible option, but i wouldnt watch it because we all know it will be male shep, which doesnt interest me at all, female shep just doesnt get any love, look at the lack of li for fem shep in game compared to how many male shep got, so i'll stick to the game sadly

Arnold doesn't usually play roles of established characters in film adaptations.
Based on Commander Shepard's Canadian accent, we know that he/she was likely not born in Europe or to a European family.
Worthington may be Aussie raised, but he pulls off a North American style accent quite well.
