CG please.

If not then definitely Tom Hardy. He is one of the most underappreciated actors about right now. He was great in Bronson, epic in the Warrior and i'm sure he'll continue with his great performances in the Dark Knight Rises. He's got the bulk, has a great nack for getting accents right and most importantly he knows how to show emotion.

Sam Worthington fits the role rather well I would think.

my vote goes for Mark Vanderloo

(The actual model that Shepard is based on)

All we need is Mark Meers to dub his lines and we're set!

why are peope insisting on femshep? 1) its been confirmed shepard will be male 2) shepard is obviously meant to be male, and 3) theres enough female characters as it is

oh and stop picking actors that obviously look older than 40 years old >.<

The guy from Spartacus Vengeance would do pretty well, I didn't think he could do as well as the previous actor but he really came into his own and made the part his later in the season.

He's too short just go read the Spartacus forums, they hate him.

My vote is Sam Worthington  (Avatar, Wrath of the Titans/Gods, Terminator:Salvation)
He's a bad ass in the movies and has almost the same face and body build as shepard.

Nah, too many movies, too recognizable, will instantly think of Clash of the Titans, or Avatar, or Terminator.

Now Joshua Morrow when he has gone through the shaved head phase of appearance, take away the moustach and he looks like the spitting image. https://www.google.c...5AsTPiALCzc36Aw

Unless they want to screw up the movie completely no one should play Shepard. Bah, the movie must not include him/her and focus on different events.

Jon Bernthal DEFINITELY!

the man is kickass, he's build like a marine, he's got the Renegade attitude done totally, and yet he has his soft points, the potential for some paragon stuff, like how as Shane he cared for Carl and Lori and stuff.

he is definitely the man for the job. heh he should totally romance Jack as well.

heh plus, Jon Bernthal, is great at delivering a speech, least a renegade one anyhow, and he can definitely manage those Renegade interrupts.

no one, putting Shep in the movie is an asinine move, your going to alienate at least half your audience, if not more....

I dont know how many of us use customs sheps, but none if us really want to see an ME movie that doesnt have our Shep in it

It be like releasing ME3 without the Femshep option....utterly r3tarded

In terms of just looking like Shepard, Vanderloo can't be wrong. But I think Karl Urban is pretty good. You know, that good guy from the Doom movie and the agent against Bruce Willis in R.E.D. I like him, and I'm not sure why.

Fem Shep, hmm. Again, Alyson Hannigan I saw on the first page might be close to how she looks but I can't imagine her pulling that off. Perhaps, erm. Jolene Blalock, she was kinda forceful in the third Starship Troopers movie, it was a terrible film, but she wasn't bad.

I gotta be honest fem shep is kinda difficult for me to really see. But I think they were making Shepard a male anyway, so I'm gonna stick to my proverbials and say Karl Urban.

Vanderloo can't act to save his life.

But Karl Urban... that doesn't sound bad if you think of it. And that guy can act as well.

Since when das BW/EA care about alieniating their fanbase? They already did a pretty good job in doing so with the way the were handling the ending backlash.

ME-THE MOVIE will cater to a completely different audience... They want to make money by making a Hollywood Blockbuster that will cater to the masses. Teenagers, adults...people who never played Mass Effect and don't care and don't know that there is the option for a female Shepard. People who don't care that tons of fans will be angry because suddenly a canon Shepard is established with a canon LI and canon decisions. So yeah...if you can make 200 millions of dollars from movie ticket sales (like Avengers did)....hell...who cares about the few fans that will be severely unhappy. <_<

I guess they are aiming at establishing a Star Wars like franchise....Mass Effect garbage cans, Mass Effect lunch boxes, Mass Effect toilet paper....the best way of doing this is to make a movie.

Awesome options!!

In all seriousness though: Matthew Fox or Jim Caviezel could be Shepard. They look like him, they're good actors, both Renegade and Paragon.
Besides, Jim was Jesus, so playing Shepard would be a breeze.
