I always thought Mathew Fox looked like Shep. Though Fox apparently just went steroid-freako for a new movie, so he looks really weird right now.
He would make a lot of sense anyway after the end of the third movie!

Jim Caviezel
* Watch Outlander and Person of Interest
Gillian Anderson
* X-Files
Casting for a youthful, modern Hollywood typical choice for Commander Shepard:
Ryan Gosling
* He's awesome enough to pull off anything, nuff said.
Jessica Biel
* She's well rounded, like Gosling can be believable in multiple types of roles.
Casting the Virmire Survivor:
Tom "Superman" Welling as Kaidan Alenko
Paula "Mission Impossible" Patton as Ashley Williams

reason: 10 yrs experience on Stargate SG1.
I think she would make an excellent Commander Shepard.
Joe Flanigan as male shepard.
He was actually named John Sheppard in Stargate Atlantis!
This is of course going on my reasoning that the Mass Effect movie would be better off as a television series. But it's just my opinion of course.

What is wrong with you people? John Travolta seriously? It doesn't matter to me since it will suck anyways.
Matthew Fox is who is rumored and he looks similar to default shep so.
I'd prefer FemShep or a badass male shep like Sam Worthington. Instead they look for a mangina? Mathew Fox is so whiny.
John travolta it is!

strong female hero lead.. nah not in an epic sci fi action movie.
it wouldnt be beliveable for me.
not unless the person looks manly, and i dont think that would be a hit either.
okay, i got 2 females id belive could pull of the strong fysical presence,
(worst thing they could do is hire some slim woman that looks as if any 16 year old
could break in half like a toothpick.)
Jessica Biel
Gina Carano
looks and muscles.
seriously tho here's some real suggestions.
1. Gerard Butler
2. Karl Urban
3. Sean Bean.
finally a role were he does not die, oh wait everything went to crapfest and shep dies
guess Sean will be perfect then
/semi irony Edit: put in two females...

Christian Bale: Dark knight, Terminator: Salvation (<-------watch this last one for a good feel)
Matthew Fox (lost, vantage point)
Channing tatum
I also think it would be good if they used the model of defult shepard (assuming he can act...well) and the voice of Mark Meer.
p.s they already said that they were going with the male shepard
I actually have no Idea about who should play liara maybe her voice actor
Tali's voice actor should be fine considering she wears a mask
Joker: Seth Green
(obviously
Anderson: Kieth David (obviously
Ashley Williams: Charlize Theron, Eliza Dushku, Jenifier Garner (at this point ashley can make small changes in the film considering the major changes between ME1-2 and ME3.
Kaiden Alenko: James Macavoy-good accents, has expirience in action and romance---good fo kaidens character
the aliens could keep their voice actors and have stunt men or stand ins for the specific build they need (e.g. big like a krogan, petite and skinny like a salarian) and use CGI ect. to do the rest.
for a sequel
Miranda Lawson: Yvonne Strahovski (obviously)
Illusive Man: Martain Sheen (obviously)
Jacquline Nought (Jack, subject zero): Megan Fox [If she can pull it off
What do you guys think:D:D:D:D:D:alien:

Sam Worthington.
Good actor, already established for action/militaristic roles, resembles and is in the same age range as the DefaultShep.Sakanade wrote...
my vote goes for Mark Vanderloo
I present my evidence:
(The actual model that Shepard is based on)
Problem with that, Vanerdloo is dutch. We don't know if he even speaks English, and if he does, it'd probably be with a thick accent.
That is what voice overs are for. Just like they did with Ray Parks in the Phantom Menace. The Directors liked him for the role but he didn't have the voice to fit it os they used voice overs from another actor.

All Reapers should also be voiced by Nicholas Cage.

But seriously, I'd say they might have to go for a 3D animated movie like the trailer of ME2. The characters look really good, and we can use the original voices so that everything stays familiar. Otherwise we can never have the Shepard we know: Mark Vanderloo's face with Mark Meer his voice is otherwise almost impossible to accomplish.
And by the way for all of you femshep lovers: They already stated that there is not going to be a femshep taking the role of shepard, just so you know.
