This is getting really frustrating. Ever since the DLC came out, I have not been able to purchase anything with Microsoft Points on my console, whether it be the consumable packs in multiplayer or anything on the marketplace. I keep getting an error saying "Can't retrieve information from Xbox LIVE. Please try again later. Status code: 80153410" I have already tried contancting Microsoft about this error, but they have absolutely no idea what their own errors mean. They did not help me at all. So here I am now, since this all started as soon as I downloaded the Resurgence Pack. Is anyone else having this problem? I have tried everything, from changing my email address, to using a different hard drive and different console. It isn't a problem with invalid Microsoft Points or my bank account, since I can still purchase things off of Xbox.com (too bad the packs can't be bought there). It's seriously making me aggrivated, since I now have about $20 just sitting there wasted. I seriously need some help here. Thank you for taking the time to read.

I ran into the same problem yesterday , and I wrote to EA support, here is there answer:

Hello ????,

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.

Please be informed that it is a known issue and Bioware is working to fix it. You can prevent this from happening again by following the two steps below.

o avoiding going into the Store while 'Ready' for a multiplayer match. It's best to un-ready yourself before you go to the store.

o not accepting invites while in the store/purchasing

We cannot restore lost items at this time. This is part of what Bioware is working out, and updates to the situation can be gained from Bioware Social Network web site. Thank you for your patience.

In case of any further questions, please feel free to get in touch with us anytime. Alternatively, please visit us at www.help.ea.com.

Regards,
?????
Electronic Arts - World Wide Customer Experience

Guess there is nothing we can do about it right? except sit here and wait for Bioware come up with another "fix".

P.S. I never did the two things they mentioned in game.

I'd suggest not bothering to purchase anything with your Microsoft Points. No point in spending real money on multi, especially when everything is not working 100%.

I'm normally very forgiving and patient but not being able to receive my Raptor rewards and not being able to log in to play without having my system freeze on me is getting really old.

I will be avoiding purchasing these packs with Microsoft Points in the future, but the problem is that I can no longer purchase ANYTHING with these points, whether it be a game add-on or avatar items. Everything gives me the same error when I select "Confirm purchase" on the Xbox.

No, I did this already and it didn't work. In the original post I stated that I changed my email, not my gamertag.

I had to wait 3 days before I could purchase anything after I changed windows ID. MS support is garbage.

3 days you say? Well, I changed it on the 10th, so I suppose I'll wait and see if I can buy anything off of my console today or tomorrow. Do you know if you were able to purchase anything from Xbox.com? Or could you just not purchase anything in general? Because like I said, I am able to buy things from Xbox.com.

I'm having a similar problem- although I can purchase from the store, and have purchased several premium spectre packs using the micro transaction system.

The problem that I ran into was during the last pack I purchased, the store was 'processing' and I received a game invite from my XBL party. I hit the guide button and pressed 'accept', and the store stopped processing and took me straight to the game I was invited to. None of the items or characters were unlocked that should have been with the purchase.

I contacted MS and advised them of the issue, and they told me to check at billing.microsoft.com to ensure the purchase had gone through- which it had. The points were deducted from my account and there is a record of it.

They then told me to go to the 'download history' under account management on the Xbox. The problem is, that even though the purchase uses MSP and downloads content to your console, it is not classed as a 'download' and does not show up in the download history.

At a loss, Microsoft advised me to contact EA regarding the issue, as it was out of their hands. Yesterday I sent EA CS an email and received the following response:

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts

I apologize for the inconvenience caused. I genuinely appreciate your efforts in getting this resolved and assure you my continual support in this.

If I understood the issue correctly you didn't receive the purchased items . I can understand how disappointing it is. Some of the customers have reported this issue. Bioware is working to fix it. We appreciate your patience while the issue is being looked into.

Additionally you can prevent this from happening again by following the two steps below

o Avoiding going into the Store while 'Ready' for a multiplayer match. It's best to un-ready yourself before you go to the store.

o Not accepting invites while in the store/purchasing

Regarding lost/relocked items we cannot restore lost items at this time. This is part of what Bioware is working out, and updates to the situation can be gained from Bioware Social Network web site.

I know you have been disappointed, but it was never our intention. At Electronic Arts, we value you immensely and request your affiliation in the future. To know more about EA Games, please visit our extensive knowledge base online: http://help.ea.com/

So it seems now I'll just have to wait it out, and just accept the fact that I may have lost 240MSP (after spending 1200 on Premium Spectre Packs). At least I'm not the only one- hopefully this will get some sort of resolve.

Just a quick question though, how are people purchasing content while 'Ready' in a multiplayer match? Whenever I try to go to the store while ready, it says that I cannot make purchases while 'Ready', and to unready myself in order to make purchases...

I'm sorry to hear about your problem, but mine is completely different. I haven't lost any Microsoft Points, and when I first encountered the problem, I was sitting in the first multiplayer menu not in a game at all. The problem is, I have no idea what companies' fault it is. While the problem happened right after I downloaded the DLC, I just can't purchase ANYTHING at all from the marketplace in general. Microsoft says they have no clue what the error code even means, and I have the feeling that if I contact EA customer support about this, I'll get the exact same message that you got back, probably word for word. Either that or they'll say they have no idea what the error code means either. It's getting really frustrating.
