So, I think some users are having the same issues as I in that:

When a ME1 save is imported into ME2 and a user decides to "mess around" in custom appearance, but ultimately decides to stick with their imported face, a "False" face code is generated.  If that game save (with imported ME1 save and face along with it) is played to completion and ready for importation into ME3, the game will "read" what the face code is.  However, since it is reading the "False" face code, the code generated will not match what was played with from ME1 into ME2.

Here are examples:

Mass Effect 1 - Jane Shepard:

Mass Effect 2 - Jane Shepard (Notice the face code present):

Mass Effect 3 - Jane Shepard (face generated from importing from ME1 > ME2 > ME3):

The face code generated is similar to Default FemShep #3 (in ME3).

There is an external work around to fix this by using Gibbed to strip the face code away from the ME2 game save, but for those that do not know how or even fear to use any outside program to modify a game file or such may not want to "risk" it.

Chris Priestly had mentioned that their should be posts to the appropriate Tech Support as it pertains to the issue and platform.  So here is that post.

Yep, and I am just posted what he requested... or at least I hope what I read correctly, hehe.

There is another thread going about this that has not been locked.  Feel free to join.  There examples and tips for workarounds.  Still trying to keep this alive.

Yes, I have posted in that thread.... or at least I think I did.. there were too many threads about the issue but the one you linked is probably tops.

I only have this because Chris said to post something in Technical Support, so here it is.  The one that is sticky above this thread pertains to the very patch that was just released, and does not fully work.

Well, nice and also sad to see I'm not the only one who logged in eager to see their Shep staring at them and still wound up with the default after the patch.

I've gone thorough all the steps Chris suggested, made sure I transferred from the save immediately after the completion of the "suicide run" and no change.

Right enough, I remember going into the face editor in ME2 when I first started with the character looking to see if I could replace the scar that was missing from ME1 which would tie into the theory about"false code" generation.

Fingers crossed the Tech Support guys can fix this little hiccup
