Why is this always the answer? A woman can look attractive and still kick your ass. Milla Jovovich has made a career out of it. Seriously though, while not picking on you specifically, this or similar statement come up a little too often. I mean she does not need to be supermodel gorgeous, (yes, I'm completely aware of the actress I just mentioned.) but attractive can works.

Now if it wasn't painfully obvious. No, frankly my reaction to default Femshep was. "Wow, ape-woman." I know, horribly superficial but that was my first thought. Regardless, not too concerned seeing I like my own Femsheps and probably would not have touched it anyway.

I'll admit that she didn't translate very well from the concept art in to the game.
However Femshep doesn't need to look like a supermodel anyway

I do find her extremely attractive in this particular picture though

Yeah... the default femshep does not fit my idea of beauty for female faces.

'tis sad that my Mass Effect 1 face wouldn't import into the third game. Well, I have to try it again, the last patch's changelog said something about fixing that issue. Well, since I want to make a whole new walkthrough again I just can work on my Shepard again ('tis funny how you have one chance to use the default femShep in ME1 as a base for your own, once you pick the option of a "random generated" face the game will always use the last generated face if you don't start the whole process again)...

Part of the problem I have with her face is the way heavy-handed makeup. The dark eyes, the dark lips, and then those crazy dark eyebrows... It's all a little much on her fair skin, makes her look really severe. And then the hair, which I get is supposed to look toussled, just kind of looks...greasy to me. 

She looks as if were I to touch her, she would be sticky.

Will use the default face for my Liara-mancer, not saying I wouldn't change a few things if I could. But overall, I like her. She's got attitude.

i like that face. Looks much more like the concept art then biowares rendition of it

I find the new default Shepard attractive. in a "I-would-follow-that-ass-to-hell-and-back" and "if-I-didn't-she-would- kick-mine" sort of way. like Miranda Lawson.

Instead of making her attractive to compete with the custom FemSheps and imports, they went for something ... unique. No, I don't think she's appealing, but I'm fine with that. She probably should've looked closer to the promo materials, though.
