In certain scenes yeah, she's rather attractive.

Like most women, she doesn't look great in every picture, but she can look stunning in the good ones.

I love Jennifer Hale. I don't care for her voice as Shepard.

She comes across very plastic when in the character creator. It's not quite as bad in game but it's quite possibly the worst non-generic face when it comes to that.

And why was this thread raised from the archives like some kind of Shepard allegory?

In my opinion, no. I think Default FemShep looks good drawn, but rendered... Not so much. I can't even really put my finger on it, it just... bothers me.

Neither the look or the voice is attractive.
I want my femshep to look and sound like Miranda if I have to be human.
And it would make sense as well in Mass Effect 2. Miranda's ego became so large that she had to start making physical copies of herself in Femshep.

I fully support that I miss The Saboteur, where I'd set radio towers and radar stations to fire and light a cig to look ultra badass.

Fem shep should be able to smoke. Another scene where lighting up was appropriate was right after the conversation with the reaper on Rannoch after calling in that final strike for that CSI moment. just before the Legion incident.

She's like most of us attractive from some angles and plain from others. I think they over did it with the makeup. This isn't "Boston Legal". And she needs to hit the gym and put some muscle on. Of course it's about as believable as Angelina Jolie in "Mr. and Mrs. Smith"

She's a little funky looking. Also... sorry, but I really just don't like the breathy voice of J. Hale. I guess it's a matter of taste, but it annoys the hell out of me.
