No it doesn't deserve it, but not because of the endings. It's the fact that it's devolved from what 1 and even 2 was. I enjoyed playing it, but not as much as the first two. Also, it's too early to start thinking GOTY for anything though. We still got Borderlands 2, Bioshock Infinite, Diablo 3, and other games still to come.

No offense, but Halo really upset me with how 2 ended. Haven't played another since. Although I am getting the reboot of the first. Many good memories with that stellar title.

Honestly, no. Doesn't mean it wasn't a good game and not enjoyable, but it really falls short for the award, not to mention the final part of a beloved trilogy like this one.

ask this again after we see what they do with the extended cut DLC. That will decide if it is the biggest disappointment of the year or game of the year for me at least. If they hadn't screwed up the ending, I would say yes, a GOTY contender.

before ME3 came out i would say definite winner for game of the year.

but now I will shocked it gets game of the year.

I doubt the critics will give it the award considering the backlash that would occur if it won because its in a weird situation where the fans hate it because of that ending but the critics loves it which would instantly damage the awards rep if a game with such a negative reputation behind it wins the GOTY.

On this years awards thats a tough one to call now depends on how good the new products are considering Tomb Raider is looking insanely good (so is Hitman for that matter) and not forgetting Grand Theft Auto V.

thats saying I imagine EA and Bioware would really hope it gets the award considering they need some good publicity right considering the backlash and worse company in america award.

Sadly no, I actually remember telling a friend of mine when I was on the last mission that this is going to be my pick for GOTY this year, no doubt... But then I was ignorant to what was about to happen.

Sorry but a GOTY goes to a game that has greatness all the way through, maybe, if the extended cut makes the end acceptable. Since the last mission as a whole was not very good as they did almost nothing with the War Assets, the ending itself just made it go from disappointing to beyond horrible.

Last year I gave my GOTY vote to Skyrim, it was a close call between that and Witcher 2. But this year Witcher 2 will probably get my vote. Since they seem to have fixed the things I thought was bad with the game last year, come April 17 and I will find out
