Yes. The ending is the only thing I can really say that was a dissapointment.
I got more than what I expected that I'd payed for. I'm not going to let 10 minutes ruin a game.
Definately worthy to be Game of the Year.

With Diablo 3, Max Payne 3, AC3 and possibly GTA5, I seriously doubt ME3 will win any sort of award, from fans or critics

Most of the players complain about ending and I have to say I agree but whole game is just average shooter, stripped from most role paying choices (yes - dialogue and conversations). THATS's the major problem of this game.
Multi player would do pretty well if not boring maps and useless recruit/veteran/specre packs which gives you nothing but useless crap.
YES the game needs some conclusion but whether approved (by fans) or not game lacks too many things in comparison to ME1 or ME2!!
Where is the freedom of "speech" in dialogue? We are lead like cattle in conversations!
My Shepard barks on Anderson in first conversation, why??? I like him and I appreciate his help!
He was the only person that stood behind me and support me through the whole series and now I'm against him because I (!) made mess with Batharians! WTF !!
Whole this ABC ending would do the job if the rest of the game would give us the reason to believe that this will conclude story for us but instead it just makes more awkward end to something that doesent make sense anyway

That's a solid point. It's hard to contest from a percentage basis. ME3... will... die.

There should be no GOTY after RDR. RDR should get GOTY each year.

I don't think it can be labeled as GOTY. Too much hatred over the ending. To say that it is the best game of the year whenever it has such a glaring fault would be incorrect.

These are the contenders for GOTY.

That being said, the VGA's are not an adequate source of fair and balanced rating or quality. No one really cares what they think anymore.

This list is very comprehensive, and I think there are many games there that could potentially be GOTY material.
I also agree that Diablo 3 will most likely win quite a few things, even though they will probably be mostly undeserved.

I also like Witcher 2, so if its anything to go by, maybe.

Same goes with Assassin's Creed, good games in general and quite strong concept, so again, maybe.

Guild Wars 2 should by all accounts be a good game, and I would be quite surprised if it didn't win at least something.

Max Payne, Spellforce and XCOM all have potential because of their history, just to name a few.

Halo 4 will win, it could have the worst endings possible, maybe even worse than ME3's and still win, because if the starchild and liara are, as the fans have put it, "the writers pet" than halo is the "gamers pet".

It will win because it is halo, and halo wins in whatever category it runs in, regardless of competition or merit.

Whether or no ME3 is GOTY worthy is a moot point. Too much controversy and bad publicity has surrounded this game for it to win. We'll see it on lists as a contender for GOTY, but I think it's too divisive to pull out many wins in that category.
