Yes, even with that ending. Mass Effect 3 is amazing to 99% and it still deserves to be GOTY.
Is Mass Effect 3 GOTY worthy?

This game has a great shot at GOTY the emotions it conveyed throughout the journey....I have never experienced in a game before. Sure I wished the game expanded on the ending, (wanted war assets to play a bigger role) but in the end the journey was second to none, and the gameplay was far superior than me1 and me2. It was a great journey worthy of GOTY.

Nope. I hope Witcher 2 gets the attention it deserves.
TW2 had it's run last year.

Don't let one rotten apple spoil the whole bunch. Do not let a misunderstood ending make Mass Effect 3 a bad game or not worthy of any awards. Who knows, might not get GOTY, but it may get runner up.

There is a 360 version coming out. Obviously that means more attention.

No. It has a feeling of many features being rushed. There are so many areas which could of done with expansion and a lot of opportunities missed. The ending is just the icing on the cake for a game that easily could of been GOTY.

ME1: 4 years of development, 1 platform.
ME2: 2,5 years of development, 2 platforms, 1 DLC for ME1.
ME3: 2 years of development, 3 platforms, Kinect, Multiplayer, Day 1 DLC, ME2 PS3 port, Tons of DLC for ME2 (6gb in total)
Conclusion: GOTY my ass.

As much as I dislike the endings. 95% Of this game was pure gold. It definitely deserves a game of the year nomination at the very least. It's my game of the year tbh, regardless of the endings.

From what I'm playing so far and the fact BioWare just completely f'ed up the way custom shepard's look no way ME3 deserves GOTY. This game has no where near the polish as ME2 does. All the little things from the ways of interacting with the crew or the lack a good hunk of sidequests is proof of this.
Face it, BioWare peaked with ME2 and were fools to waste time and resources on multiplayer

Absolutely!
Even if it was released in 2011, BETTER THAN SKYRIM.

Absolutely- it has 75+ perfect scores from critics. Those same critics vote for most of the GOTY awards. ME3 will win MANY GOTY awards (no Red Dead Redemption to steal them like ME2).

No. All of the game must be good. The ending made me depressed and I couldn't play any games for two days. So no GOTY.

Sadly no they won´t win , no matter what EA does , they already won the golden POO award EA.
For a publisher to win that award over bank of america ...
Well that is a big big suprise , Lets say they wish they were as rich as bank of America .
So no ME3 in this current state will not win the Game of the Year ...
Infact if media wants to play fun , they probaly make a new award , the biggest loser of the year award .
All the right ingredients all the right approaches ,but a Terrible ending .
Either way Mass Effect has made it into history , not cause of fan rage , but as how not to make a near perfect trilogy , and totally destroy it in the last 10 min .
