in your opinion, and if you wish people to respect it i suggest stop assuming yours is best,

that is why it doesn't matter if ea pays a writer off or not , it is his opinion or well ea's opinoin but it is still one persons, or multiple but it will either be same as yours or different

why i keep my opinion to myself, i protect it and i don't get upset when other peoples opinions differ from my own, it avoids the whole looking like an ass, and on another note , would people look up word joke before typing a response. cause me saying it's a joke usually means one thing

but  i guess i will say this, mass effect has its pros and cons, it was a good game but also had some minor issues like the journal and the damn fetch quests, which could've atleast involved you going down to the planet, and some plotholes and points where it didn't really stay true to the lore but it was a decent enough game, not the best but not something to cry on the forums about. there is my opinion, it is mine, there are many like it but this one is mine

Too late for that.
You come right out of the gate defending the game from people who don't like it.
Oh ok as long as i say I'm joking at the end I can say whatever i want!
Good logic bro.
If you have to protect your opinions from the internet that just means its not worthy of anything.
Irony is you think I'm being the ass when you're to scared to even be part of this discussion.

i am part of the discussion , if i wasn't then it wouldn't be a discussion. never hid from my opinion just never voiced it, until last post. and hint the part i said was a joke was a joke then i was serious, but again don't just get upset because someone has a different view then you, it makes you look sad:crying: and wonder why waste time talking with you

but again i put my opinion, you can agree with it or not, i don't care was just giving you insight. I don't hate it but i don't think it is the best game ever. i do not think it is GOTY worthy but it is at least has the chance at best rpg in my opinion. I see it's flaws but i will not give it a 2 out of 10 over a few mess ups. alot worse games out there

Not even as an RPG can it win, there are a lot of RPG's coming out this year and ME3 was barely possible to classify as an RPG. The only RPG element was the leveling system.

A game that is terrible almost from start to finish and not only ruins its own replay value but the games that came before it. I have about 6 Shepards from ME1 and 2 that will never be imported to 3. Makes me wonder why I even bought those games. Right now I think it would be better off if I never even heard of Mass Effect.
I'm tired of people saying "its just the last 5 minutes your letting that ruin a great game"
No actually the ending isn't even the worst part and its more like your letting a couple of good parts blind you to just how god awful this game really was.
Game of the year? My ass if it doesn't make worst game of the decade I'll lose all faith in humanity.

lol. honestly just lol.

Why?
Whats lol worthy about my post?
I'm 100% serious here nothing in ME3 is even remotely worth it.

Because it just sounds like you are hating on something for the sake of just hating on something.

Why was it the worst game of the decade, why was it worse than games like Duke Nukem: Forever or Tony Hawk: Ride, what made those games stand above Mass Effect 3 in the grand scheme of things?

besides the end? hmmm lack of companion dialouge, no side quest besides n7 missions which are all the same, having to play multiplayer in order to get endings, rushed writing Image IPB.....im getting myself depressed again.

Yes, it should be nominated. I set out to destroy the Reapers, did just that. Anything that happened next is, well, details.
However, I get if everyone else doesn't feel that way. I do feel that BioWare was more focussed on adding MP to ME3, and I understand MP was intended from the start. The reality is, it didn't. Instead, in a generation with so few RPGs, the original Mass Effect was a must play (it's why I bought a 360...). I will always feel BioWare truly didn't appreciate what they had, and wanted and wished for something else. So, when I put in ME3, I knew I was going to be let down, and instead enjoyed it for what it was: a MP game with SP (example: no one played CoD4:Modern Warfare for its engrossing SP).
For being one of the few MP games I've played (Halo 3 and Gears 1/2/3), and enjoyed it deserves a GotY mention. However, I'll pass on the next game from this universe. I enjoy ME3's MP, but not enough to do it again in another game. I am, and always will be, a RPGer. When BioWare goes back to that, I'll be there; for I hold it no ill will in regards to the ending.

fair enough, yeah disliked not having the ability to explore planets, like for the fetch quest you would go down and acquire the item instead of just scanning for it

No.

I played on the PC. I'm not going to factor in the ending(s). (For the record, I really dislike the entire end scenario)

1) The texture work is incredibly lackluster. So much so, you've got fans modding and working on hi-res textures for the game as we speak.

2) The quest tracker is completely and utterly broken and useless. In addition quests would become bugged and you couldn't finish them.

3) Obtaining quests, felt no connection to the quests I was doing. No conversation (a la ME1 or ME2), and quests described were misleading. Help evacuated survivors=Scan planet

4) One button used for cover, storming, vaulting, etc.

5) No controller support

6) War Assets system under utilized and ultimately useless (players choices during the suicide mission in ME2, were far more impactful)

7) No UI options, FOV options, etc.

Well for one I didn't get emotionally invested in Tony Hawk or Duke Nukem to give a rats ass.
Secondly it compeletely spits in the face of everything I love about the first 2 games to the point where I want nothing to do with it.
I'm not a hater.  I love games but this is so sad its epic.  Its almost like Bioware planned this ahead just because any publicity is good publicity or something.
The reasons why ME3 is terrible have been said to death but just to make it perfectly clear I will state exactly why I think its one of the worst games I've ever played.
Again keep in mind I haven't played games like Duke Nukem Forever but I'm aware of how bad it is.
1.  Forced dialog and really badly written dialog.
2.  Useless characters replacing beloved characters (Chobot instead of Wong? really?)
3.  Fan service fan service fan service.  Give EDI a body just so Joker will look even more creepy.
4.  Hope you didn't romance anyone in ME2.  Because Jacob has already moved on and has a kid coming (oh burn) and all the rest are just casually tossed aside.
5.  Liara and Garrus are your best friends wether you like it or not.
6.  Didn't like Kaiden or Ashley?  Don't worry you'll see much more of them and their pretty much the same person no matter what.
7.  Fetch quests and bad ones
8.  take the annoying planet scanning in 2 and make it even more annoying.
9.  Roleplaying is a joke.  No longer do I get to pick how Shepard talks.  Its only 2 options and its pathetic.
10.  FORCED EMOTIONS.  The kid is bad but overall there are moments where i"m supposed to feel something but it falls flat.
11.  Everything the first 2 games were building on have been rendered pointless or a joke.  Honestly the Reapers don't seem so menacing or much of a threat.  Just need god kid!
12.  Cerebrus are now 100% terrorists and TIM is now a cliche bad guy.  His ambiguity in 2 was one of my favorite parts.  It made me think gosh Bioware knows how to make interesting characters and storys.  They sure can and they sure can destroy it too.
13.  CHOICES DO NOT MATTER... NO matter what anyone says the evidence speaks for itself.  Destroy or save the collector base its gonna be there anyway.  Save or kill the Rachni.  Who cares she's there anyway.  Don't tell me war assets that is a pathetic excuse and I'm talking about before ME3 you kill the rachni in the first game and somehow the repears have a Rachni queen anyway... WTF
14.  Bioware simply lied to us.  THis kind of goes hand in hand with 13 but its worth its own because no matter how you slice it this isn't the game I payed for.  I payed for something much better than this and someone keeps bringing up Ed Wood.  I feel that is very worth it.  Because I was worried about a Mass Effect movie sucking.  Hollywood doesn't have to ruin this franchise.  EAware has already done it for us.

Note How I don't even mention the end but I think that goes without saying at this point.
So many plot holes and just plain laziness throughout this whole thing.  I don't blame Bioware because their EA and its been proven time and time again that EA is known for ruining franchises.  Why should this be any different?  Well for one I got invested and I feel insulted.  This insults my intellginence and the best they can do is "artistic integrity.

I hope my reasons are good enough for you because I'd hate to be called a hater over and over by people who say this is the greatest game ever made

1. Yes there was more automatic dialogue but in the grand scheme of everything, it worked in certain places and didn't in others but to call the dialogue badly written is a joke.

2. That is one character, and yes Chobot isn't great but then again I didn't find Wong all that endiring either.

3. I found the romance between Joker and EDI to be done very well, it touched on different subjects such as man and machine finding love together. It didn't make Joker look creepier, it actually made him look like he really fell in love with the character.

4. Could the romances have been better done for some characters? Yes they could have but in all fairness, Jacob seemed like a douchebag anyways but I will agree that the characters from ME2 should have gotten more screentime.

5. Weren't they always atleast friends? They seemed like that in the past two games to me anyways

6. There was much less of them, as they were in the hospital for quite awhile after the Mars mission where you didn't have to visit them and even after that, you could either kill them or reject them from rejoining the crew if you didn't like them

7. There were advantages and disadvantages of the system, it was much easier to get quests but some where quite mediocre but others were good.

8. How!? It got rid of the probe limit and was quicker, if anything, they made it better by streamlining it so that you didn't have to scavnge for resources which was a major grip for me in ME2.

9. You pick what Shepard says thoughout the game and there were more than two options so I don't entirely know what you're getting it.

10. The "dream" sequences were alright, I can get that they were somewhat jarring but I can imagine there were people who got invested into those scenes.

11. Disagree entirely, I felt the Reaper threat got much more real in ME3.

12. The Illusive Man represented another side to the war against the Reapers, it was one which I didn't buy into but I can imagine there were gamers who felt that being able to control the Reapers, if it was possible, would be a better alternative than to just destroy them.

13. Choices do matter, the matter throughtout the entire goddamn game. This is the one argument which pisses me off, I got to see my choices from the first two games being played out throughout the entire third game, I saw the resolution of the Tuchunka and Rannoch storylines along. I saw the threads of the many storylines come together before the final battle and that was great I found.

14. Game was very much worth paying for in my eyes.

Oh and about the ending, it was mediocre, it wasn't the worst and it wasn't the best, it was just mediocre

I'm tired as it's nearly 6am now so I'm going to bed, I hope my counter-arguments where enough for you, considering i'm someone who causes you to feel sick as I think the game was brilliant.
