Sorry for vague title, trying to stay spoiler free. I will detail my findings here in the hopes that Bioware finds them useful. Also, will send to proper tech support channels if someone can point me to them.

**Spoilers follow for the ending of a mid-game Priority mission. **

I believe I have identified a bug on the Priority: Rannoch Mission that prevents you from getting the "Peace" option with the quarians and getth even if you otherwise SHOULD.

Specifically, a plot flag (I didn't identify this flag, just read about it and did some checking on my saves) 2935, which is the flag for whether Tali is an Admiral, may be flagged as "FALSE" when it should be set to TRUE, preventing the ending of the mission from giving you the Persuasion options to get the Peace outcome.

Cause:
I was confused on my second playthrough of ME3 because on my first play, I got the Peace outcome, but even though my second playthrough was nearly identical in terms of how I handled Tali and Legion, the geth/etc. I didn't get the option.

It seems the difference lies in the outcome of TALI'S LOYALTY MISSION in ME2. There are a couple outcomes you can use to avoid tali's exile and gain her loyalty:

1. Use persuasion on the Admiralty Board to convince them that Tali is not at fault, this results in the "Tali Exonerated" flag being checked in the Plot tables.

2. Rally the crowd, convincing Kal'reegar and Veetor to speak up on Tali's behalf, inciting the crowd. The Board will be "cowed" into declaring a Not Guilty Verdict. This results in a DIFFERENT plot flag being checked: "Tali found Not Guilty.".

The only difference (related to the rannoch mission at all) between my 2 saves was this one. My first playthough has "Tali Not Guilty", 2935 set to TRUE, and Peace was achieved.

In my newer playthough I had the "Tali Exonerated" Flag checked, but flag 2935 was set to FALSE. In all dialog scenes, Tali was referred to as an Admiral, but NO PEACE option was present.

I have yet to confirm at what point in the game these values are really "checked" but based on comparison of my two saves, this is likely to be where the issue originated.

Odd, I alway went with the persuasion option in ME2, and so far I've always had the peace options in ME3. Did you do anything different in ME3? I know that not doing the Geth Fighters mission prevents you from achieving peace.

Also you need to rescue the Admiral and not his crew.I've always got the peace options with a import Shepard and always a Tali exonerated.

No, nothing different between my characters with regard to the geth, but the one character did not have the "Tali is an Admiral" plot flag. So ME3 decisions are not related to that problem at all. It's an import issue.

The whole point of my post was to suggest a possible source of that import issue. ME3 decisions are not where its coming from.
