Playing a Krogan Battlemaster.  Enjoying it greatly.  It's basically everything I want with a shotgun-wielding Krogan.  I have a question about the Level 5 rank for Barrier, though.  Its Power Synergy option says that it increases damage and force while Barrier's active, but it doesn't specify what damage.  I would assume it means Power damage and force, but on the offchance, I thought I'd ask if it means ALL damage and force, including Weapon damage.

Dat avatar.... =|

The power amplifier amplifies the damage and force of the power, so I think it's the initial impact of the charge is increased, and not the subsequent weapons/melee synergy you get at rank 5 of the charge..... but I'd like a more edumacated opinion if there is one. =)

I'm also curious about the barrier detonation. It seems to blast out twice for me every detonation. Is that how it's supposed to work?

Honestly don't know about the barrier detonation. I always keep armor powers on. I'm more a walk-around-and-shoot-everything-I-see-with-a-Geth-Plasma-Shotgun kind of guy than a...whatever other kind of player there is kind of guy, so I just like the extra protection.

I don't think it increases weapon damage, just Charge and Carnage.

Try detonating Barrier when you're surrounded and watch them fly.

Macroberts- It has never detonated twice for me. Maybe lag?

Well by detonate twice I mean it goes boom twice. I detonate and hear a boom boom. Sounds silly, but it's what happens. =)

I do enjoy detonating the barrier, but I only do so if the occasion calls for it, i.e., I have 5 geth troopers around me asking to fly. I go with melee everything till they die approach. =P

Barrier has a shorter cooldown than charge, so if your shields are full and you're facing at least one unprotected enemy, it makes more sense to detonate the barrier instead of charging. Then if your shields are still up when the barrier is cooled down, re-enable it and detonate again - if your shields look like they're going down, re-enable the barrier and charge.
