Introducing my older brother to Mass Effect?

Hi!

I wanna introduce my older brother to Mass Effect.
He's 20 years old. He mostly plays sports games (like FIFA) and Minecraft.
He has never played an RPG.

Do you have any tips to help me introduce him to the franchise, and should I get ME1, 2 or 3 for him as the first game he plays.

EDIT: I should add that he plays on Xbox 360;

...................it's really quite variable whether someone will like the series or not. For instance, I have a friend who loved Gears of War, the game that everyone loves to compare ME to, in addition to always playing sports games, but I could barely get him to play the ME2 demo, and only that.

You should start from the beginning, of course.

I introduced my younger brother to ME myself; since then, he's played ME2 4 times and now has Garrus as his favourite video game character.

He also told me that ME3 would be his favourite game ever if it weren't for the ending.

Did he start playing ME2? I could buy ME2 and the Genesis DLC for him
