God i would have replayed DA2 at least once if this feature existed...it is important for me to be able to enjoy my end game character gameplay wise.Say i just perfected my blood mage build but the game ends in an hours gameplay, was it worth it?

And no dlcs wont do they are just too short

NG+ is a feature that I have a feeling Bioware sees as too much like a Japanese made RPG (something they seem to hate with a passion) to implement. Personally though, I for one would love to see that for the same reasons that you brought up (having an epic character at the last moments of the game and being unable to do anything with them). To me it can enhance the experience and make it very worthwhile to replay a game.

Seriously. Not much point in having a level 50 cap if you can barely scratch 23 in the core game. I guess it's because DA2 chronicles Hawke's rise, and s/he doesn't start out as a world destroying behemoth. That's the only argument I can think of.

They do it in Mass Effect, though. Not the same genre, I know, but still.

After investing 60 hours or so into a character i just do'nt like to be done with them, anyway what's the point of end game loot if you almost do'nt get the playtime to use it. I would like to import into a new save and i do not see why its not possible in dragon age, its seems like the perfect game for it, enemies scale in level so it should be no problem.

I don't really see the harm in New Game +.

I get why the lock the end game.  Becuase  a world-changing event happens.  But New Game + isn't relevant to that.  New Game + is mechanical only.  It's a way to carry your level over--not your decisions or story.

I guess the only problem is if the gameplay guys feel it isn't worth the time to design high-level encounters for a whole campaign.  But for what it's worth, I think games are more fun when their enemy and encounter design is such that it scales to high level gameplay well enough that it can support a whole campaign.

NG+ only works in some cases. Example where it does- Diablo 2. Where it doesn't- Mass Effect 3. Importing a lvl30 into ME3 made the game laughably easy.

I would rather see DA3 designed so that I can reach max level about 2-3 hours of gameplay before the end, so I still have a chance to use those abilities, but so that I can feel I've achieved everything I can do with the character in one play through.

After all, surely the point of the DA games is to play different characters/classes, not the same one again?

Oh my goodness YES!

I love the combat in Dragon Age but only once you get to a decent level and have a reasonable ammount of skills. Thankfully the level-up glitch/cheat solved this in Dragon Age 2 and I tended to bump up to Level 12 and then take it from there.

I would still play Dragon Age 3 without this, but since I would probably only play the game once I would wait and buy the game after it's dropped in price. If the game had a NG+ feature the I'd happily know that I could replay it 3-4 times (as I wouldn't have to wade through 5-10 hours of over-simple dull combat before it started to get interesting).

Of course, if Bioware can make Dragon Age's combat interesting from Level 1 then that's fine, but i'm skeptical as to how - you really need several abilities to actually keep you thinking/planning all the way through. I generally though Origins was better than Awakening but I only played Origins once and I've played Awakening 3 times... because the combat in Awakening is interesting from the start.

Failing a NG+ mode at least put a glitch in to help us level-up as high as we want at the start of the game :-)

That would be awesome. I love that in Mass effect. And the last level of difficulty fits to your level. Ennemies will be harder. Obviously if you play in hardcore - normal mode, it is going to be easy.

Anyway on this forum, everything is easy. Even DAO was easy in nightmare mode ( yeah no... ) So, I don't see the issue. I find the new game + very fun, and I don't need to change characters each time I do a new playthrough.

At the very least, I would like to be able to play again with the same face.

Sure. I like the idea of wanting to replay the game for some reason. Bioware, if you make me want to replay the game that is a huge win. For you and me.

This is the opportunity to play again with the same character, once you finish the game with it.

If you end up with a hawk level 23, you start a new playthrough ( If you decide to do so ) with Hawk level 23. With the same powers, all available since the beginning. And you get the same class, the same face as well. So you do not waste your time to do everything again. And your ennemies become harder too, compared to your level, only if you pick the last difficulty mode.

You also earn some bonuses. For example, all the money collected in the previous game, you keep it in your new playthrough. ( so easier to purchase armor, etc )

Thank you for responding!

That would be an AWESOME feature, because I had like 250 gold and nowhere left to spend it! It'd be a lot of fun.

At least DA2 could of definitely used a new game+ considering we got no extra content to increase the 2 dlcs and core game cap
