Would you have bought ME3 if the developers had spoken the truth about every single thing?

Because I think I would have missed what they had said. I have been offline for a very, very long time (just online once in a while).
I have only seen that "everything you do, will matter", which, to me, was pretty obvious. Why else continue the game...
However, I have built up my own hype, since Mass Effect has been so great - so I was dissapointed, even before I knew anyone else was. I learned that people were upset at the ending, but I hadn't come that far - I was disappointed in things before that.
Oh, and I downloaded the Demo (and loved it) the day before release here, didn't even know the release date, so I was "super-hyped".

Yeah I don't really understand why I pre-ordered the game after playing the demo actually. Unlike you I didn't like it, and I thought that the only redeeming factor was ME3's gameplay, which is significantly better than ME2's. Still, I guess I wanted that closure too.
Turns out I didn't get it at all! Awwwwwww yeah.

I think I had made up so much hope of my own (like I really thought that I'd be able to - maybe not all the way, but at least at some point - have Wrex fighting by my side, et cetera - things like that)
I have read (well, it was a lot about it on the Internet, when I had to look for clues, due to the lousy journal) that very many didn't like the Demo, so I think I'm kind of almost the only one who did like it..maybe... ;-)

I remember what I posted after the demo. That the kid was horrible, mostly. That it was a bad omen, a symptom of crappy writing that I was convinced would return. It did return, despite people calling me a nitpicker, a hater and a troll. I even had a mod close one of my threads because he thought I was trolling. Just imagine that. Not even two months ago, and people here had so much faith in Bioware that criticising threads got closed because people just could not fathom Bioware doing anything so blatantly wrong.
One of the things that really amused me was that most people seemed to agree the kid was horrible, but some chose to go in denial mode and went "it's all a hallucination!"
The exact same thing happened on a larger scale later on, when they came up with the indoctrination theory to explain the bad endings. I never tried to justify it like that. I know bad writing when I see it, and I was not surprised.
Just hopelessly hopeful.
