Sentinel vs Banshee: Warp then keep shooting with an Assault Rifle or a Submachine-gun. Once her barriers are out. Use the tactic I wrote against a Brute.
Additional: Anti armor mods on both Pistols and Ar's are a big help.

1) Biotic Detonations (Warp + Reave / Reave + Throw / Warp + Throw / Reave/Warp + Cluster Grenade). Warp/Reave followed by another offensive Biotic Power does wonders. On the Banshee's barrier + armour.
2) Fire away your gun like a lunatic.
Just keep doing the biotic explosions and you'll be fine. Yeah... heh. Heck, distractions work well.
I used a Quarian Engineer and threw a Sentry Turret and also used my Salarian Decoy and the Banshee was slowed down. Even Cryo Blast works wonders in reducing the Banshee's speed. It's nice.
But imho, Biotic Combos r teh bustest.

Brutes are even easier since they dont have any shields, you can throw inferno down immediately for big armor damage or sticky grenades or just melt it with the sniper rifle..
Soldiers etc should be keeping the filler mobs at bay while you focus fire on the big ones. Gold isn't really that hard if you have a team that knows what its supposed to be shooting at, shooting the closest thing to you is not the best option, if you have overload/drain then use it to bleed down enemy shields - *look* for shields to drop and keep them down. Snipers should be plugging the big guys to weaken them as much as possible for the other team mates. Soldiers are great for AoE, soaking up damage and killing lots of smaller enemies.
If someone isn't playing their part to help the team and is more concerned about getting kills for themselves then you will always lose. It's all about teamwork on Gold.

On the Brute, it is the head and neck. On the Banshee, for no apparent reason it's the ******. Someone posted a mathematical breakdown a few weeks ago, the Banshee head is considered by the game to be as damageable as her limbs, but her ****** take bigger damage. OMG.
And, of course, you might want the anti-armour powers to have their "more damage against armour" evolution on Lv6 instead of "more damage overall" evolution, if you're really devoted.
You don't play a lot as an Infiltrator, do you? =)Neither banshees nor brutes have weakpoints.

Developers have said they don't, but testing ingame by several people confirmed they do. Try it on the Brute, the difference in damage is significant.
That's not a weakpoint though. Brute simply has strong points that mitigate much of the damage (e.g. the claw).

Uh, I've played through insanity twice as an infiltrator. Banshees have no weakpoints. Brutes have armor plating, which just stop a fixed amount of damage before being destroyed. The spine isn't a weak point (you don't get a damage multiplier)--you just avoid the armor plates.

With my engineer I just use Sabotage + Overload against shields/barriers and Sabotage + Incinerate against armor. Banshees aren't the least bit scary when you can do this kind of damage.

It's a no-brainer with combos. They all do boatloads of damage. I guess the combos have already been listed.

Yeaauuupp. Sabotage (100% Tech Damage, obv) is the reason I replaced Javik/Kaiden with Tali in my Sentinel Insanity playthru. Sabotage + my Overload to wipe out protections, then biotic combos with Liara's Warp to remove Armor.
In my first run, I only used Sabotage as AI Hack, and therefore didn't understand why it was such an awesome, awesome power. But the first time I used Tali's Sabotage (100% Tech Damage) + Shep's Overload (spec'd for Shield Damage) on a Banshee, I went

Also effective - warp, reave, carnage, frag grenades, incendiary ammo, cryo blast, warp ammo...
Banshee - Overload, disruptor ammo, concussive shot, reave, warp ammo, energy drain...

Can take em out in less than 3 seconds + removing everything standing remotely close to them at the same time.

I did see something of a difference shooting them in the b00b area.
So in general, how to best off a banshee with an Infiltrator? This was hardest I have found it against them in this class as weapon damage is reduced and that barrier was resistant to overload, warp and ED, and incinerate, far more than biotic combo bombs.

Now, despite what I just said, it's actually more beneficial for my team if I ignore the Brutes and Banshees and go after the RAVAGERS first. I can one-shot those with my setup, and my teammates are a lot more effective when they don't have to worry about rockets being spammed at them.
