What's the rush? There are other non-Dragon Age games out there to play in the mean time.
I'd like for DA3 to be as good as possible, and if that means that I have to wait longer for the game to come out then so be it.

I was rushing out to get that one. Then I noticed Atelier Meruru and Runefactory Tides of Destiny were out the same day. I'll still get it, but the other take priority.

This. No matter how you look at it, DA2 was rushed. Or maybe you think that things like repeated maps were something the developers expected the players would love?
Pretty much sums up my opinion short of going on rant about the things that seemed rushed.

This, oh my god, one hundred times this.
DA2 was so rushed that they ruined the sequel to what was potentially the greatest RPG in years. I want DA3 to be great, I want the DA trilogy to be one of those ones that people say "The sequel sucked, but the third movie brought it back to it's original glory".

first of all DA isnt a trilogy as of yet, and second that is basically going to be a problem with the rest of the series, *adds retarded sound of haters*"the whole series was f---ing awesome except that one game i refuse to mention."
late 2013 or 2014 would be ideal, in my eyes

Semantics, but if you want I wont refer it to a trilogy. The Dragonage franchise then.
That's exactly what I'm hopign for. For the whole series to be awesome except for the second game that nobody will mention. Because it was awful. I'm happy to way until 2014 if it means the game will be given the time and resources it needs. No more rushed development that leads to bad, reused environments, lazy textures, or severe glitches. I want a game where the narrative is well crafted and the story written out in a sensical well-done manner.
I don't want another mess of a game.

its not like it matters how long they do it, they can easily make another DA2(if they are evil enough), but longer, different setting, while working on it for 5 yrs, i know what youre saying, im just saying longer really doesnt have that much of a factor, things just have to be managed better.

Longer doesn't guarantee better, not at all, but shorter can often guarantee worse. Bioware obviously didn't have enough time to craft DA2 in to the game it could of been. I think, in all fairness, they will manage it better this time around. They know they can't get away with another DA2. Dragonage 2 sold half of what Origins did, and a huge chunk of it's day 1 sales were due to preorders from DA: O fans. They're listening this time, they have to be.

I'm finishing up a DA2 playthrough, and then getting back into Skyrim. At some point, I'd like to do another playthrough or two of Tales of Vesperia. I also have yet to play Mass Effect 2, let alone ME3.

Thanks for the reply. Others did too
I wondered what people play when not "doing" DA. I read about a lot of games that people have played in the past but not what their up to right now. Have to keep ourselves busy whil BW devellops DA3 right?

Dragon age 2 took onky 1.5 years
And many of the problems DA2 had were clearly a result of it being rushed. Therefore DA3 should be in development for longer. Much longer. 2.5 years to 3 years sounds good.

We have only 2 DLC for DA2,we can't play anything new for DA
But there are plenty of other games to keep us occupied while we wait.

They proved with the DLC that they were listening and made changes fans were happier with. I'd hate to see them drop the ball after that. Plus if the team has half a brain collectively between them all they know that if DA3 is anywhere as bad as 2 that will kill the franchise. (Hope that last line didn't sound mean, that's not how I meant it to come across.)
